Well it looks like we are being spared the brunt of this awful storm and I am so thankful but I was never worried here.  In the past living in a highrise I was always so scared and trying to find a place to stay so no more of that.

Life shall get back to normal soon, I must put away all the stuff I got out in preparation and just thank God I didn't need it.

Thanks for all the concern yall!

Just a quick note to let y’all know I am in very good hands as far as the hurricane headed my way. Lots of staff staying, lots of help, plenty of food, helpful friends, nothing to do but wait. I will be perfectly fine.

Well my committee stuff is getting me some phone calls and conversations about things they want changed of complaints.  Nothing bad, just normal stuff but it's going to take more time than I want to give I'm afraid.  We'll see.
Monday there is a bar-b-que for Labor Day, the food is really good.
I had my annual physical this week and it's all good except to lose weight.  Buggers.  I know, I was THERE and gained so much back when I was on steroids for a year and now to get it off again is so hard.  I need to though.
There is a storm out there now, I don't think we'll get it or if we do I don't think it will be major but it is good to know I'll be taken care of if needed.  Fed too.  We are having a meeting tomorrow morning about it and they'll tell us what to do.  The glass in my apartment is rated to 110 MPH and I'm not afraid here at all.
And that, my friends, is all I know!  Have a great day!

So they are renovating the lobby in the clubhouse and I was in the card room playing bridge and looked out to see this.  I showed it to the executive director thinking he'd like to mention it to the contractor but he didn't seem concerned.  He's the weak link in this place I think.  But mostly it's lovely and I still love it.

Oh, and now I am on the Council with a committee under me (not literally!) that encompasses the grounds.  All of the grounds.  To include the buildings (but not inside them), landscaping, lakes, roads, all of it.  Talk about stupid!  How did I get talked into this?  I get to hear every complaint about a lightbulb out or a shrub with a dead leaf, all of it.  Buggers.  I need my head examined.

And THIS guy above does NOT fall under my watch. Ha.

So I must run now because I must get ready for an early dinner tonight (5:00) and bridge game after but I will try to blog more.  I'm really sorry to be gone so much.
