The Carnival Valor, last day, Nassau part deux

I was anxious to see the all new straw market since the tent one burned. Total waste of time, it's exactly the same thing, just not in a tent. A pickpocket's dream, hot, narrow aisles, hot, full of knock off junk, hot, and did I mention hot?

See? Just as I told you. And did I mention it was hot in there?

Ladies, a mini skirt? Really? Panties were showing. It was not pretty. Oh, and it was hot.

I was so glad to get back on board. I know I say this every time but I will NEVER go ashore in Nassau again. I really really mean it this time.

The end.

The glass statue was awarded to the Carnival Valor for excellence. I see why this ship won. It's totally tits.

I ended up cashing in my slot card with the $75 jackpot, on a two cent machine. Yay me!

My travel mate also cashed in a great win last night. She hit three of a kind in three card poker with a double bet, GREAT win, and we left right then, I was back up to pretty much where I started so I quit too. A whole week of playing for no money, pretty neat. At one point I did have six hundred in but no more!

Nassau lighthouse

Well it's the last port and the last day. It has been an amazing week, full of fun and frolicking and food and fancy cakes! Somehow the crew knew our names everywhere we went. I have no idea how they do it but it sure makes you feel special. Thanks for coming along.

Tomorrow I'll be home and back to the everyday things that I love to do. There will be lunch with the duck and unpacking will be super easy as I brought very little and it was plenty.

The Carnival Valor, Day seven, part deux...

Shots from around the ship on the last sea day...

Seriously? A two piece??? I find no fault with her, just that bathing suit.

And now I am going into the pool. The last formal night is tonight and then tomorrow is Nassau.

I went back to my two cent machine this morning, I put in $12 and left with $25. So far so good...

More shots of Tortola

I saw several interesting cemeteries.

Beautiful views all over the island.

Interesting trees.

A rest stop.

And now we are at sea until Friday morning. I scored pretty good in the casino last night, several hundred up. We are playing three card poker. I tried the "let it ride" and didn't like that game at all.

The comedy shows were really good too. I don't know how many of you will remember him but Jorge Salino was one of the two (the better one). He used to be a cruise director. He remembered me from cruises some time back. I really enjoyed his shows, I saw his family show and the adult show as well.

So that was my day. It was totally tits. I hope yours was as well.

The Carnival Valor, Day five, Tortola

Here is my day in Tortola in photographs. We took a three hour tour in an open air bus. There are mountains and beaches and lots to see. I was exhausted when we got back but I went in the pool anyway and did thirty minutes of exercise. After that I might have had an ice cream cone and a shower and a nap. Tortola is okay, again not my favorite spot. There are shops (flea market kind) right off the ship but we didn't go there.

This building was an addiction treatment center and credit union. ??????

There were chickens all over the place. Baby chicks too.

I'm holding my own in the casino. The casino boss sent me another Pina Colada last night so I must be spending a good bit bit I'm not really losing.

Tonight the comedy club opens again. I'll be there. Wish you were too!

The Carnival Valor Day four, Antigua, part deux

This is Devil's Bridge. It was really really bumpy roads to get to it. Stress really bumpy roads...

Not my favorite stop, my first time here and I don't think I'd get off the ship if I come here again.

My little two penny machine finally betrayed me so I went here and did pretty good. But I still think slots are boring. Also I left while I was thirty bucks ahead. Maybe.

Then some lunch onboard and into the adults only pool for my exercises. The water feels wonderful. I don't know why I never swam on the ship before this cruise. Well I do, my weight, but from what I saw in bathing suits I had nothing at all to fear.

Next up: a nap, dinner, and show. Then MAYBE the casino. We'll see. Have a lovely day y'all. I know I will...

The Carnival Valor, Day 4, Antigua

These might be the earrings I bought myself. Possibly. Like I need earrings, right?

This was waiting for me when I got back to the cabin.

A solid gold plastic ship on a stick and yummy strawberries.

And champagne.

And I MIGHT be going to hell in a handbasket. I spent enough in the casino that the casino boss bought me a drink. Oh my, trouble in paradise. I sure did have a good time though. And didn't lose all that much for as long as I played. It's gin and tonic. For medicinal purposes you understand.

Today is Antigua and I have not been there so I am looking forward to it. Have a lovely Prince Spaghetti day y'all. I know I will.

The Carnival Valor, Day something...

First of all I have no idea why some photos are posting twice and others not at all but I'll just keep trying. I am not adding photos twice, sorry.

St. Thomas was so beautiful. I really enjoyed getting off the ship and I rode my scooter along the path next to the water into town, about a mile each way. The shops were fun, I had not been in them before, just the ones near the ship and there were many more there to see.

I have been enjoying the Punchliner comedy club too. I see the family show after dinner, go to the show, then go back for the adults only comedy and then to the casino. I am donating pretty good but having a great time. And this is what we drank. Maybe. Possibly.

The casino boss said he is rating me for free drinks. That never happened before. Maybe I'm going there too much? Nah... And my little two cent machine is still paying me to sit there. Gosh gambling, drinking, buying jewelry?? (maybe). I'm going to pot. But I still smile a lot!

The Carnival Valor, St. Thomas

My afternoon in photos:

And then I went into the adults only pool and did my excercises. It felt wonderful.

Oh, and I MIGHT (possibly) have bought my cruise mate and me each a beautiful pair of diamond earrings. Maybe.

The Carnival Valor, Day three, at sea...

My little two cent machine is still paying me to sit there. Then I went to trivia and then lunch. It is sunny, warm, and we have calm seas. Nothing could be better, well, unless it was red velvet cupcake day on the lido, which it isn't.

Does this mean my cabin steward is Republican? Or knows I am?

Two little thank you gifts, above and below from last night. I also got another backpack.

So all is well in my world, hope the same for yours!
