Yesterday as we left the housing complex I saw this.  It's a helicopter putting air conditioners on the roof of the (under construction) outlet mall.  We watched about ten of them being moved onto roofs and when we got back and I got in the pool I could still see it.  I have no idea how many of them there are but surely a lot!  It's scheduled to open in February.  It's a shame it won't be open for Christmas shopping.  Lots of nice stores are signing leases now.  Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks, etc.  No more schlepping down to Sawgrass Mills for me any more.  It's about a mile from my condo!

Well September is over already.  Tomorrow I will have lived in Florida for 32 years.  I have no idea where it went.  

Did you see Homeland last night?  The season 3 opener was really good I thought.

Tonight I am playing in the Palm Beach canasta game.  They are nice gals but it's lonely driving home at 11:00 at night alone.  I don't like being out that late.  It's only 11 miles away but still, I don't like to drive by myself after dark.

The graduation was so nice last night at the Fern House.  There were 22 graduates.  Every one of them thanked the duck as part of their speech.  Then they had a buffet with CAKE!  There is now a pastry chef in the Fern House.  A pastry chef!  And I ate a piece of it too.  With whipped cream frosting.  Luckily I did my hour in the pool so I could have it, right?

D#1 got home safely and I am so glad I got to see her.  We had a nice time.

Well it's Sunday so that means I get to see the duck again!  Two days in a row.  It's my lucky week all around.

Well D#1 got an excellent report from the surgeon.  She doesn't have to see him again for six more months.  Everything looks great on the x-ray. And his bill came.  Don't even ask.  Yikes!  But you know what?  She couldn't live the way it was any longer so we are blessed beyond belief that he was there.  And for insurance.  Phew.

And today she goes home.  It was a short but sweet visit.  And she looks great!

I talked to old what's his name, I mean Paul yesterday, he is home but sounded tired and not sure what is what yet really.  Please continue to keep him in your hearts if you don't mind.  A good man for sure.

This is the chair I ordered yesterday.  Well this one and another one that is pink and white gingham.  This one is not expensive, just functional for the den.  The other one is from Ethan Allen and was a special order and a tad pricy but it's, well, pink!  It's going to take another eight weeks but this white one will be here in a few days.

D#1 is here and we are having a lovely time.  Last night we sat out on the terrace and it was so nice, the humidity was low for a change and it was warm and delightful out there.

Today she has doctor appointments most of the day and I will be at the pool but then we are going out to dinner with the duck tonight.  I don't have to cook!  And I am going to earn lots of calories in the pool so I can have a nice dinner.

I spoke with Paul's daughter yesterday.  Mary Lou was at the hospital.  His daughter said they didn't know anything more, he was still doing rehab.

Guess where I'll be today while waiting for D#1 to arrive?  Bet you can't guess?  It's almost October and it's getting a tiny bit cooler but the pool is still great.  They haven't turned the heater on yet though.  Fortunately for me the (self appointed) mayor (of the pool) is now on the board of directors so it'll happen!

I have been trying to think up some new bee bandwagon recipes.  I eat the same things over and over and they are lovely and delicious and healthy but I need some food excitement.  I now have thirteen more pounds to lose so I want to stay around 1200 calories a day (net calories, after exercise calories are used).

Do you have Apple TV?  If so, did you know you can make your Ipad or Mac operate it?  I am using it for lots of stuff now, especially music.  The more I play with it the more I love it.  I love playing music and seeing my photos on it too in HD 55".  Tits for sure.  One thing though, it makes you delete photos you don't want to see!

I haven't talked to Mary Lou since I last told you but will call and update you on Paul.  He's going to be fine.  He has to be!

Here is the salad I made for the poker dinner.  There were three small heads of lettuce under all this "stuff".  And I forgot the cucumbers.  Oh well, I can make cucumber and onion salad for me today.

Luckily I got my swim in before the rain came again yesterday.  I needed to get that done because of eating two slices of pizza!  I blotted all the fat off the top and just ate cheese pizza, not the ones with all the fat meat on them.  And I ate lots of salad!

Today I have a card game and luncheon.  It's supposed to rain all day but that's okay, I won't be in the pool anyway.

Then Thursday D#1 is coming for her final release from her surgeon on Friday.  She is doing wonderfully.  What a blessing.

Oh, and I won thirty-nine bucks at poker last night too!  Yay me.  Have a lovely Prince Spaghetti Day y'all.  I will too.

This photo was from Saturday when the sun was out and lovely.  This week we are getting more rain.  Yesterday I got my flu shot and then got in the pool before the rain started so that was good. 

Tonight is our poker dinner before the game.  I am making the salad.  I got tons of great stuff to put in it at the fruit stand Sunday.  Salad for eleven?  I have it!  We're having pizza too.  I have to save up my calories for that.  No worries, I'll be fine.

I have thirteen more pounds to lose.  It will be slow.  Very slow.  But as long as I go down and not up I am happy.  I have experimented with different creams for loose skin and wrinkles and my routine is now Aveeno positively ageless on skin twice a day, ROC Retinol night cream at night with Oil of Olay over that to moisturize.  I use SPF 70 sunblock but tan anyway.  Oh, and Wen on my hair.  I love it, just love it.

I spoke to Paul's wife Mary Lou last night again to check on him.  The good thing is that it was not a stroke but his balance is still not good.  Since he got on the Bee Bandwagon and lost all that weight it may be the meds being too strong for him now.  That's the thought anyway and it makes sense.  Prayers are appreciated though and he likes to see the comments.

Carnival now has cruises for single cruisers.  I mean usually you have to pay for at least two in a cabin whether there are that many or not.  For my cruise next month I had to pay double.  Well soon I will be able to cruise without paying twice.  As far as I know they are the only ones doing this.  I do know NCL has tiny rooms for singles (8'x10').  Carnival's will be regular cabins.  Yay!

Yesterday I got to the pool late because of going shopping with the duck so by the time I got there the last person was just packing up and leaving so I had the whole pool and all the chairs and tables and everything all by myself.  Sometimes I like company but I have to admit it was wonderful just splashing back and forth and thinking my own thoughts.  And singing Jingle Bells in my head.  Anyway I had a blast all by myself.

I think I'll go get my flu shot today.  I have something to do every day for the rest of the week so it seems this will be the best day to go.  Don't forget to get yours too.

My Canadian friend Paul is in the hospital.  He hasn't been feeling well.  I talked to his wife Mary Lou last night.  Please send him your best thoughts.  They are good friends.  And they love to cruise!

There was another yellow sky last night!  So strange looking to me.  But very pretty too.  The pool was BUSY yesterday, while I was in there were four other people in and we were all water jogging at once.  I swear I have half the building doing it since they have seen how far I have progressed.  After my hour two more went in and did it.  Fun I tell you, pure fun.

Today I get to see the duck!  That's always fun, he's so good to me.  I am invited to the Fern House Saturday for this year's graduation.  I'll go if I can, D#1 might be here then though.  She still hasn't told me when she's coming.  That's okay though, she just doesn't know yet.

Today is supposed to be warm and sunny so that's my kind of day.  The warmer the better.  I'd like to take some photos in the afternoon.

I got some turkey tenders and there was a recipe on the back of the package to roast them with a mixture of orange juice and honey.  I did it but somehow I overcooked them.  Good but not like they would have been if I had cooked them the right time.  My bad.

Yesterday was warm and sunny all day so you know where I was and it was lovely.  Almost a tad cool but not too much.

So yesterday I asked you about my moon photo and my darling Aunt Jane called me with a suggestion.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to make the night shot work.  I intend to keep trying though.

Too grainy still.  There must be a way.  It is clearer than before though, just not perfect yet.

My winter Saturday game hasn't started up yet so I shall be swimming again today.  Hope your day is as good as mine.  If it is you are one lucky duck!
