Yesterday as we left the housing complex I saw this.  It's a helicopter putting air conditioners on the roof of the (under construction) outlet mall.  We watched about ten of them being moved onto roofs and when we got back and I got in the pool I could still see it.  I have no idea how many of them there are but surely a lot!  It's scheduled to open in February.  It's a shame it won't be open for Christmas shopping.  Lots of nice stores are signing leases now.  Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks, etc.  No more schlepping down to Sawgrass Mills for me any more.  It's about a mile from my condo!

Well September is over already.  Tomorrow I will have lived in Florida for 32 years.  I have no idea where it went.

Did you see Homeland last night?  The season 3 opener was really good I thought.

Tonight I am playing in the Palm Beach canasta game.  They are nice gals but it's lonely driving home at 11:00 at night alone.  I don't like being out that late.  It's only 11 miles away but still, I don't like to drive by myself after dark.

Hope your Monday is tits!  Mine will be for sure.

  1. I lived in Florida for just over 31 years before moving to Georgia. I'm still doing my due diligence in choosing where I want to retire. Right now North Carolina is in the lead: moderate 4 seasons, very affordable housing, full basements, no hurricanes, lightning fast internet, big city amenities, a major airport that flies non-stop to my family in New England... and a hafway-decent driving distance to a cruise port.

I recorded the season premiere of Once Upon A Time but haven't watched it yet. Looking forward to that!

Enjoy your game, but I wouldn't do the night drive myself. Of course, I'd also already be in bed well before then. haha!

    big hugs xoxo

  2. That new outlet mall is going to be great for you, just think of all the new clothes you can buy as you lose even more weight! The new series of Homeland starts here next week I think, I can't wait, it's a great series!

  5. That's a long time to live in one state indeed. Hubby has lived in California 65 years and most of those years in Modesto. Now it's Hughson. Not to far from Modesto either. I do hate California though. I really do. Just can't leave with his mother still alive and we do everything for her.

Hubby and I hate driving at night too. We rarely do it either.

You have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from chilly California. Hello to Roche. :)

  7. This summer we watched a helicopter logging operation. It was amazing. I'm with you on the whole drive in the dark by yourself thing, I don't even like it when Bet is with me.

  8. Bee, I love to watch and be in helicopters and planes. I am fascinated by them. Once Ted and I took a ride in a helicopter...he said it was not so thrilling...I said my seat was, all that was between me and falling out was a seat belt. Just be careful driving at night...do not stop for anyone but the law. Then ask for I.D. xoxox,Susie
p.s. I laughed about what you said about perfume.:):)

  9. I would have been watching the helicopters for hours. Stuff like that fascinates me. I have yet to step foot in a Nordstroms. Can you believe that? And I now live in the land of Nordstroms! One day I'll pay them a visit. just not much of a shopper.

    Be safe tonight!

  11. I missed it this year but we usually have helicopter come into our lake at camp and practice pulling up water out of the lake for fires. It's fascinating to watch!
