So much is happening with regard to sexual problems in and out of the workplace. I will admit it happened to me and often. The difference is that back then you just shrugged it off and went on with life. I’m glad that’s changing. Having said that I do worry that there may be claims for political or financial reasons for untrue happenings. I have no answers but just wanted to talk about it a bit. Any thoughts?

  1. I've seen some blatant stuff happen back in the day. People left me alone. Wise for them to do so. I didn't play that game. I've also seen women who compromise so they don't have to work. These women I have no use for. There was a pack of them at the Sheriff's Office that made me cringe and often.

The rich and powerful think they can get away with anything. Apparently they are finding out that is no longer true. It's a good thing.

Have a fabulous day, honey. Big hug to you and my very best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  3. Would love to discuss this with you. To be honest, I can't think of one person whose claims against them I find untrue, although I certainly had the same feelings as you at first. Like with Bill Cosby, eight women? Pfft, he's America's dad. Then 24 and 48? Matt Lauer had a button under his desk to lock the door and NBC never knew? Disgusting they turned the other way to make all that money. While I have no doubt that news has been manufactured lately, and that women are not above seeking money, I'm not seeing it in any current allegations.

  4. I was an Elementary Teacher with a female principal so I never had to deal with that on the job. I can only imagine how trapped women must feel who really need their jobs and have to choose how to react. I think it is a wonderful change for women!

  5. Like many other changes that have occurred because attention was finally paid, I'm glad to see this will no longer be tacitly acceptable. There will be some who make false accusations if there is something in it for them, even just seeing their name on a news list, but karma will hopefully bite them for lying just as karma is being served to these disgusting men used their positions of power on women who felt they couldn't afford to speak out, or did and were not heard or believed.

I hope this hits both political parties just as hard as it is hitting the entertainment field. I don't understand a voter overlooking this behavior because they think the politician has our best interests at heart on other subjects. You are either a decent human being who doesn't degrade others or you are not.

  6. Bee, I too have had my moments at work. But I learned to tell the men off in no uncertain terms. I had too. I worked mostly with men. I also feel not all accusations are true, for the very reason you mentioned. Once someone is accused of such things, there would always be doubt about their character whether it was true or not. That just seems to be how it is. I no not think everyone should lose their jobs...but maybe some counseling could help. Absolute apologies too. My heart was broken about Matt Lauer. He was in our home every morning, people looked up to him...so sad for all involved , the accusers, Matt and his family and friends. Hope all is going well there. Blessings to you and Duck, xoxo, Susie

  7. I feel very sorry for those women who had to deal with that situation but I worry for the men who have had their life destroyed my the women who have lied. I guess we'll never know. Only God knows and at the end He'll decide. As I was growing up as a young man, my dad taught me and said, Paul, always respect all women especially your mother because everyone woman is a mother, sister or wife. I remembered his comment and I taught my son the same idea. All women are to be respected.
I hope that you are doing well Bee. See ya my good friend.

  9. I think any of us that worked, back in the day, have stories to tell. My reaction was to just laugh it off and make sure I was never near them again. BUT--a woman can also claim things that never happened and how could the man prove otherwise?

  10. I never took offense at rude jokes and was never politically correct even back in the day... I was never harassed at work because I didn't look at it that way -- I was either interested or I wasn't. I never slept with a man and then complained I did it to keep my job.

Bill Cosby drugged women - in my book that's rape.

Matt Lauer may have been a total pig - but it seems like there was some "I'll do this because I want my job" But aren't here other jobs out there at other companies with other employers???

Harvey Weinstein was a bully and a monster - but again - there seems to be a quid pro quo of some sort... they wanted to be actresses or to have certain roles in movies and so they compromised and accepted the unwanted advances.

Seems to me that women have the power to say no and didn't exercise it in many instances.
There is NEVER an excuse for rape. NEVER.
But up to that point, if a woman had a choice to leave, that to me can't be forgotten...
