Well it's Sunday again so that means lunch with the duck and grocery store wandering.  I decided to get a turkey breast and roast it even though I am going to the Fern House for Thanksgiving dinner.  I like turkey, it's cheap and low cal and I just don't know why I don't cook it more often.

Have you ever heard of OOMA?  I saw a commercial for it and went to see about it online.  It's a box to replace your phone company and for less than $5.00 a month (the local taxes and 911 fees) you have unlimited service including long distance.  I even looked at calling Canada and it's about a penny a minute.  I am considering it and will research it a bit more but if you know about it I'd love to hear from you.  Most of the customer reviews are good.

It's getting cooler this week, the high on Thursday is only going to be 73°and that's not nearly warm enough to get in the pool.

Tomorrow I am having my dental work done.  Wish me luck!  And have a great day.  I will too...

  1. Good luck at the dentist, Bee!

That OOMA sounds interesting. I would like to know more about it. Am going to google it tomorrow. Cox is so expensive here each month!

Enjoy your Sunday with the Duck tomorrow.

    ((hugs))

  2. I can get VoIP through Mediacom, which is the only broadband available in my area. Actually, my neighbor is a sales rep for commercial accounts. 7 years ago he actually told me to stay away from VoIP for business as it still had bugs. Now he says it's MUCH improved. I am considering switching my phone and internet to them. My AT&T contract is just about up. I hate to change stuff. Truly. Whenever I change stuff I always seem to get nightmarish problems.

DO let me know what you think about it.

Enjoy your day with the duck. big hugs xoxo

  3. I saw that recently for the first time, so I have no clue about the service. Interesting...if it works.

Say hi to the duck for me. 23 here this morning.

    Big hugs, honey...

  4. Good morning Bee. I really enjoyed talking with you yesterday. We have to do it more often or until you get bored with me. Ha,ha,ha. I'm so sorry that it's only 73* but I'm excited that it's going to be only 27* for the day in Amherstburg. LOL. Say a big hello to the Duck for us. Have a great day my wonderful friend.

  5. Bee, I will be thinking of you tomorrow...as I will be going to my dentist also. It's time for the tooth post. I have healed from the implant in the bone. My gosh this is a long drawn out affair. Hope you have afun day with Duck. Yes, roasted turkey is lo-cal. It's the seasonings that make turkey taste good or bland. xoxo,Susie

  6. No, I'm not heard of this until today. So I've nothing to offer on this subject. Let us know if you decide to do this.

I would settle for 73 degrees. That would be nice an warm to me. The pool probably not.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. :)

  7. Oh Bee you look so good in the photo from yesterday.
I don't know about OOMA but my family and I share "LINE" it is a Japanese ap for you phone. Sign up, and everything is free, IM, phone calls, videos and photos. There are things you can buy like games and stuff but I talk to family in Japan and the US for free, even with instant video calls. All you need to someone to call.

    cheers, parsnip

  10. Hi Bee!
I don't know anything about Ooma but we looked into a few of the systems that connect through your modem and the one downfall we saw is that when your power goes out your phone goes out. We live in California and often have power outages due to fire, wind, rain, etc. and rely on our hardwired home phone to remain on regardless of power supply.
