Well the dental consultation yesterday went just so/so. I want to get some implants but it seems I don't have enough bone to get the kind I want. There is another option and I am considering it. We'll see. They are still implants but different. I have to talk to my dentist and see what he says.
So onward and upward to better things... Today I'll be at the pool and then at poker tonight. Hopefully I won't have the loss that I had last week! Of course I won a buck and a half at canasta, lost five cents at maj, and lost a hundred bucks at poker so I guess I'm even. Even steven, right?
Last night I looked in the fridge to find something new and low cal and tasty to make for dinner. I already had chicken cooked so I took 1/2 head of cabbage, one large red pepper, and one sweet onion. Chopped everything and put in a skillet with a small amount of salt and a good amount of pepper and a tiny bit of water. I cooked this on low for about 20 minutes and then took off the lid and added a tiny bit of olive oil and cranked up the heat to brown it all a bit. Delicious! Extremely healthy and low cal. It's going to be a staple in my house now.
Hope your Tuesday is totally tits y'all. Mine sure will be!
I love your math !
ReplyDeleteI use cabbage to fill in everything. I use them like noodles in a lot of stir fried dishes.
cheers, parsnip
Well, bugger on the bone results. But dinner sounds YUM! I had some of Tina's leftover Chicken Cacciatore. I need to run out to Walmart for some more rotisserie chicken. That's my staple. LOVE it. Sensible, delicious, cheap, easy and so versatile.
ReplyDeleteHave fun today! Here's hoping you break even again, or better! big hugs xoxo
Bee, I had a dental implant in September and I will be seeing the surgeon D.D.S./M.S.D. at the end of this month...then go to my own dentist for the actual Tooth. It's about 3, 600.00 for one tooth. I sure can't afford this kind of dental work. So I am glad it's just one !!! .....You may be publishing a cook book one of these days. I love when I throw stuff together and it turns out to be tasty. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, I am wary of dental implants. Be careful - check out the alternatives and see if this is really necessary, okay? I worry about them sticking metal in your bones for any reason.
ReplyDeleteGlad that your recipe for dinner turned out so well!
Have fun at the pool today and poker tonight.
(hugs)
I'll pass on the implants too. I've got crowns and they are a pain, but when they fall out I'll guess I do the extraction and leave it at that. I see why you are checking though. It just wasn't in the cards for me.
ReplyDeleteI love your side dish to your chicken. Yes, that would be really good and very healthy.
Have a fabulous day honey and you're going to win at poker tonight. My best to your buddy Roche. :)
Oh and I love you bunches honey. Roche too. :)
ReplyDeleteBugger to that implant regroup. I know you will figure it out and do what is best.
ReplyDeleteYum. Reminds me I need to add cabbage to my grocery list. And a rotisserie chicken. Love those. Easy peasy.
Big hugs, honey...
I'd be really interested to know more about the implants. The recipe sounds good.
