The Carnival Breeze, Embarkation Day

Well embarkation was by far the easiest I have ever seen. We were at the port by 10:30 and in our cabin by 11:00. Very nice cabin and the ship is understated and beautiful but I am so used to the "over the top" decor Joe Farcus always did for Carnival it hardly seems right.

Paul and Mary Lou came to our cabin for a lovely visit and then we went to the Bloggers Welcome party where we met up with lots of friendly folks including Sandy and Dick Bell.

By 9:30 I was done for the day though, I walked by far further than I have walked in many many years but at the end of the day my hips were hurting and I was totally exhausted. The duck and my other travel mate continued the fun without me for a bit.

Oh, and I did well in the casino!

Back tomorrow...

Empress Bee

  1. don't be discouraged about getting sore! take it easy tomorrow to give your body a chance to heal and restore. but then get back at there. you didn't make a mistake leaving the scooter at home! you really don't need that thing anymore.

have you got good walking shoes?

i wish i was there! it sounds so wonderful to be in a swimming pool in JANUARY. mmmm! and all that FOOD. and your two cruise buddies!

    you're a lucky lady.

    love you.

  2. Bee, I forgot to hide in your suitcase! Isn't it crazy how early embarkation is these days? Your cabin is lovely, and that looks like a great ship. Have a great time!

  3. This sounds like so much fun maybe next year I can come !

    cheers, parsnip

    1. opps meant to ask....
if this is Carvinal why is it different ? is it a older smaller ship ? or just a different designer ?

      cheers, parsnip

    2. The Breeze is a brand new ship and the person who did the interior design for all previous Carnival ships was not used this time. The ship has a totally new interior design. I like it better.

  4. My knee wasn't happy yesterday after walking the car dealership... but I did it and it was a lovely afternoon and great to be out of the house and out in the fresh air. I'm still pouting a bit about not being on the cruise. I know one or two are in my near future.. even if I have to go alone this summer. I'll meet plenty of fun folks on Lido and I'll have fun!

Hooray for a lucky night in the casino!

    Carry on! big hugs xoxo

  5. Hope you have rested well and will have a wonderful day today!

  6. Thanks Bee for the wonderful photos. Your stateroom is very impressive. Nice digs! Continue to enjoy and have fun.

  7. Nice!! Very nice!! Please say Hi and give a hug from me to all our friends. Please tell John ( after you hug him ) that I miss him. :S Wish I was there. Have fun!!

  8. Maybe you should have brought your scooter. They have them on board don't they. You don't want to be all messed up that you can't do much. I'm just saying. Those ships are huge and as I recall the bloggers cruise has you going all over the place.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

  9. Hi Miss Bee!! I hope that by now mom has found you and delivered my hug to you! I know you are having a blast. When I talked to mom yesterday she was so excited to be seeing everyone again. I am not sure, but I think I see James at the next table over in the picture of Big Ed and the duck. Have a bite of cake for me and enjoy every minute of your cruise!
    Big Hugs!

  10. Ciao!!!

I'm so glad that you can walk and that everything was so nice, Paul and Mary Lou, and the other friends!
Of course you feel ttyred, you will feel much better in the next days!
Have fun, and enjoy the life on board!

    Big hugs honey!!

  11. I prefer a more understated decor. I agree with your granddaughter. Rest up and keep at it tomorrow!
