This what happened yesterday afternoon but the morning was wonderful and the pool was full of friends.  I had a lovely time.

Then when I came in the notice was being posted that the hallway renovation PASSED and will proceed.  Hooray.  Finally we will have some hallways that I won't feel the need to apologize for every time I have a visitor.  

Then I had promised to make two necklaces for a friend and I got those done and ready to deliver tomorrow at canasta.  I have not done any beading in quite a long time and I sort of liked it so maybe I'll get going again a bit.  I have so many lovely beads it's really a shame to just let them sit in drawers waiting to me made into something to wear.

And I'd better win at canasta today since I lost so badly at poker Tuesday night.  Then I'll be even if I do.

First I have to tell you something funny that happened yesterday.  I was in the gym and Andre' was killing working me.  It's cool in there but not cold and when I work that hard I get so hot.  There is a fan in the corner that I call my "boyfriend" because it feels so good.  So anyway, not thinking about what I was saying or who was around because I had sweat in my eyes and running down my, well, my everything, I said "Andre' I need my boyfriend on me."  Now as if this isn't bad enough I hear from the corner this old geezer say "Hey, watch it, he's a married man now."  He thought I was talking about Andre'.  Yikes!  I guess that's where rumors get started and I'd better shut my yap! Ha ha...  

So poker last night.  Next subject.  But I did manage to have a good time.  It just wasn't my night to get cards.

Today I am doing several things but to include a swim if it is not raining.  We had some huge thunder storms last night.  We could hear them in the poker room but I haven't seen outside yet.  Lots of thunder and lightening and rain.

Guess that's all I know, I am really dumb today!  Have a great Wednesday y'all.  I know I will too.  For sure.

Oh my gosh I ended up doing two hours in the pool yesterday.  And on top of that while I was in the pool I won a bet from the (self appointed) governor (of the pool) for tickets to Book of Mormon (in December when it comes here), dinner,  and valet parking!  Don't mess with me, right?  Ha ha ha.

Today I have the ever evil fabulous Andre' who shall beat me up badly work me hard and since he was away last week on his honeymoon I did not work out so I am quite sure I shall be somewhat sore afterward but it is what it is and I'll go and smile and be happy to do so.  

If there is time I'll get in the pool after that but I have a 3:00 appointment and then poker after that so the day is tight.  In fact the week is tight except for Wednesday which isn't bad but that's good because I need a day to recoup.  Just one thing on Wednesday.

I have just got to slow down a bit somewhere but right now I don't know where it's gonna' happen because I like what I'm doing and don't really want to give anything up.  How do people have the time to go to a job?  Yikes.

Last night I had a wonderful conversation with my dear red headed aunt that I adore and wish I could see.  That was so nice and I felt so good afterward.

Here is old chuckie duck yesterday at lunch at Nick's Diner.  I love that smiling face, it lights up my life.  

The Walmart wasn't too crowded but it was very hot.  When I got home I was going to go in the pool but someone was having a cookout out there for a group of people and they were all in the pool and I didn't go.  So I came up and showered again instead.

I got this comment yesterday:

I just wish I knew who it was from so I could communicate.  If I help someone for their good I'd love to know more about them and at least who they are but if not, it's fine.  Just know we all want you to succeed in whatever your goal happens to be!  

I know the Internet (thank you Al Gore) can be a dangerous place but it can also be a wonderful place and that has been my experience.  I have met wonderful people that I would never have had the pleasure of knowing and they have enriched my life beyond words.  I hope I have done the same for some of you.

Today shall find me at the pool and hopefully that group didn't leave a mess because the guy doesn't come back to clean it until tomorrow.  I'll hope for the best because I need the exercise.  I am still losing and I am, once again, driven in this weight loss.  I know I got a bit lazy and it's not possible for me to do that because it's too hard to reverse and I know it so well.  Maybe Saturday was enough motivation to get me to continue.  Plus Andre' is back this week so I shall see him on Tuesday and Friday.

The sun was in my eyes when I was trying to take photos at the Fern House yesterday but I did manage to get this one of the new paver with the duck on it.  He's come a long way baby and I know sarge is smiling in heaven and busting his buttons with pride.  I am too in case you can't tell.  

So I did very well indeed at both barbecues yesterday but did not get to swim between them as it stormed.  And I did, in fact, only eat one rib and a small amount of sides.  At the club in the evening I ate gazpacho and broiled grouper with lemon and unsweet tea and fruit for dessert.  They had some beautiful pies but I did not even eat one bite.   All together I think I stayed within my daily allowance, probably not enough to lose anything but I don't think I'll gain from it.

Today I shall try to swim by 11:30 so I can be done in time to get ready to go out tonight with my friend.  I can't wait to see Jersey Boys.  I saw some bad reviews but I love the music so much I don't much care about the acting.

Happy 4th!

Yesterday I lost four bucks at canasta so to recap the week:  Tuesday I won $92.00,  Wednesday I lost $2.00 and yesterday I lost $4.00 so that's two losses and one win so this week I lose.  Too bad.

Two barbecues today if you recall me telling you yesterday.  Then I can watch the fireworks from my terrace.  I remember one year Sarge said to me "hurry up, we don't want to lose our seats!"  They are having a big bash downtown but I'm not going, two barbecues and fireworks is quite enough for me in a day.  

By the way, those diet pills that I got the sample of work.  Really work.  I got fifteen of them free if you recall (they are $260.00 for 30 and my insurance does not cover them).  Anyway I am trying to make them last so I am taking one every two or three days, not every day.  I am down ten pounds in ten days.  I am not hungry and have no side effects of any kind.  I will be taking one today before heading out!

I don't believe in taking this kind of medication for any length of time because I'm sure it's addictive but only having a total of 15 I think I'll be fine.  I'll see what Dr. Wacks says when I go back.

Guess that's it from my brain today y'all.  Hope your 4th is fabulous.  I sure know mine is going to be.  I am going to eat a RIB! (as in one!)

So today will find me in the card room instead of at the pool where I'd much rather be but it is what it is so I'll be there.  Then Friday I have two barbecue's to attend, one at the Fern House and then one at the club with the gal pals.

Let's recap here.  First I am having lunch at the club on Thursday, then TWO barbecues on Friday, and then I have a movie and dinner out on Saturday with a friend and again on Sunday night with a gal I am on the board with.  So how's that diet going this week?  I'll let you know.  I have my doubts right now though but I'll do my best.  Oh, and don't forget Andre' is out on his honeymoon so he's not beating me up this week either.  T for trouble I think.

Um, I saw this sign in downtown West Palm Beach yesterday on my way home and had to grab a photo.  Luckily I was at a red light and was able to do so.  I am trying to decide if they are terrorists or just insanely stupid developers.  Here is the website to show you it's a real thing.  Good grief people.  Just good grief.

So yesterday's appointment with my dentist went well, I have the permanent implants now and the permanent teeth will be ready tomorrow evening.  I am able to wear my denture until then, he ground it out so I could.  I had four shots in the top of my mouth and with each one he said I'm sooo sorry.  So cute.   My mouth is very sore but Advil is all I need and it is healing nicely and the end is in sight.  

Now let's talk poker where I had another quite lovely win of ninety-two bucks.  Yay for that.  I'm nearly back to even again.

And that, my friends, is all I have in my head for today.  I hope your Wednesday is fantastic.  Mine is very busy but it will have some fun involved.  Count on it!

So gosh you will not believe this but I had to go to the dentist yesterday and I have to go again today.  Yesterday I was in my bathing suit, had just sprayed on the sunblock and was two minutes from the water when I got a call to come in for a check.  So I showered and changed and went.  It was good.  Whew.  

I have brushed my gums literally until they bled and I cried trying to have no infection and smooth gums ready for the teeth. If you are not familiar with the implants I will tell you that right now there are screws in the top of my mouth and they attract plaque very quickly.  I had my gums trimmed recently.  Plaque means bacteria.  See the dilemma?  

Today I go back at 1:00, it was originally 8:15 but now it's 1:00 and it's a long appointment.  With needles.  In the roof of my mouth.  Lots of them.  But I'm a big girl and I can stand it and I'm almost done.  And I am still glad I did it too.

The pool has been very busy!  The past two days there were five people in there.  All nice people but five!  It sure makes the hour go by fast talking though.  It was a bit dirty yesterday because of the big storm we had Sunday evening but the guy comes today to clean it.

Well it's July already.  Andre' is on his honeymoon now so I don't have to see him this week but I'll exercise anyway.  I just won't get beat up! Ha!

We got lots of rain yesterday and lightening too but I had already been in the pool so it was okay.  I did not get to see the duck, he fell Saturday night and had a slight concussion and a sprained wrist and didn't feel like going anywhere naturally.  Poor thing.  I was glad I decided to swim before going shopping because I would not have been able to if I hadn't.  Then I got lazy and didn't go shopping anyway.  I'll go soon, it's not that important.

So this is the last of June already.  I wish time went slower but it doesn't so I'll just take what I can get of it.  (Like I have a choice!)

Oh and the duck found his wallet.  In his own pocket.  All credit cards are cancelled.  Goofball.  I told him I was blogging that.  They were cargo shorts and it was in one of the leg pockets.
