Another Bee Bandwagon success story!

One year ago...

Meet Lisa!  Better known on the blog as "coasterwiggs".  She has been on the bee bandwagon for one year this week and has lost 84 pounds!  She visited her dad in May and he was so happy he went on the bandwagon and has already lost 24 pounds.  I sure wish I knew the total of all of you that have taken this journey with me.  Congratulations Lisa!  I am so proud of you!  Happy cruising honey!

So yesterday I got to go swimming with my girl and her hubby.  Well she was only able to get her feet in but still, she got a bathing suit on and went with us.  Then the duck came over for dinner and I got to see him too.  I was a lucky girl for sure.

So today they are going home, back to the lovely mountains and podunk.  I shall be by myself again but not to worry, I still love my life,  I just had a diversion for a while.  And now I need to get on with my "stuff".

Well our girl is doing better.  She was released yesterday to go home so her hubby is coming for her and she doesn't have to come back to see him again for over a month.  She is sure feeling better too, thank goodness.  There is still pain of course, but it is so much less and she is eating good and walking and doing her exercises that he gave her to do.  It's all good to go.

I subbed in a canasta game yesterday and did okay, didn't win any money but only lost fifty cents and had a nice time.

My friend that had the open heart surgery is doing much better too.  I talked to her last night, she sounds great.  It'll be a while but she'll be back good to go.

I am ready to really seriously tackle my closet when my girl leaves.  It'll still be a big job but I am going to go through everything and get rid of mucho stuffo.  I am only keeping size medium clothes.  Nothing bigger.  I hope.  Anyway since some things are cut differently I'll have to try them on but there is going to be a big purge.

So today I have canasta.  Yesterday was a quiet day, other than going to the pool I stayed home all day and did laundry, changed the beds, cooked, just stuff.  Nice and quiet and I even fell asleep in my chair before dinner.  Our girl is still doing great.  

I saw a recipe somewhere for stuffed cabbage that was all chopped up, kind of a one pot deal.  Well I think I could lighten that up a good bit for a bee bandwagon recipe.  After I go to the store this weekend I'll try it.  I love stuffed cabbage but it's a pain to make.  This looks very clever.

Here's hoping for a great day for y'all.  Mine will be fantastic!  They always are...

Bobbi wanted to know where I got my Retinol, I actually got it in the WalMart, it's Roc Retinol, I got the scrub pads and the night cream.  It's pretty expensive but still cheaper than a facelift by far.  It's not as strong as prescription Retinol but seems to be working okay.

I got into a maj game, they called me to sub and now I think I am going to play weekly.  It was a nice game and I won a bit over two bucks too.  Since my old maj game went by the way of the krapper (so to speak) I might as well fill my Wednesdays.

Oh, I almost forgot the most important thing!  My girl got all her staples out yesterday and if she is okay by Friday she can travel home.  She'll have to come back fairly soon for another visit but can at least see her family and rest there for a time.  She is really doing amazing for all she has been through.  He said he didn't know how she even walked before it was so bad.

I also got to talk to my friend that had the open heart surgery.  She is home now and had a really rough time of it for a time but hopefully is on the mend now.  I sent her some flowers but they won't be delivered until Friday.  The surgery was to have been 4 1/2 hours but ended up 9 1/2 hours instead.  I swear getting older is not for sissies.   Nope, it's not.

So that's it from my house, hope your day is lovely.  Mine will be, I'll be at the pool with my girl.  She can't get in but can put her feet in and relax in a lounge chair!

Sorry, no makeup again.  Yesterday d#1 went to the pool with me!  Her first time out of the apartment since she came home from the hospital, almost two weeks.  Anyway of course she couldn't get in the pool but she enjoyed the lounge chair in the shade and talking to the (self appointed) governor and mayor of the pool while I did my hour of exercise.

I have been using Retinol.  Can you tell some of my wrinkles are gone?  It's working some for sure.  And Oil of Olay night cream.  

Today we go see the surgeon to see about taking out some of the staples.  I don't think he'll take them all out yet, it doesn't look ready to me but then what do I know.  Oh, wait, I forgot I took that online do-it-yourself medical degree course.  Let's see if he agrees with me.

Last night I played poker and won seventy bucks!  How about that?

Luckily I was able to swim in between rainstorms.  I was able to do an hour again and it felt wonderful.

Tonight is poker and I'm ready to win!  It's time, right?

Tomorrow we go back to d#1s doctor and see if she is released and if he takes out the staples.  Not sure it's ready yet though.

Yesterday I had my oncology appointment and guess what?  I don't have to go back for a year!  Yay to that!

Still no keys.  Now three people have asked me where I lost them.  Sigh...

Very stressful time for me y'all.  I lost my keys.  Two people so far have asked me where I lost them.  Seriously.  The Walmart was a total zoo and the cable is not working.  At least my girl is a good patient so that's a break for me.  She's doing a bit better each day now and I think soon she'll be really great.

Today I have my oncology appointment and then the cable company in the afternoon.  I am hoping to be able to swim between the two, it's possible.

I am so upset about losing my keys, it's really bothering me.  All three keys are Medico so it's a problem getting copies.  At least the car key wasn't on the key ring!  Those are so expensive.  Maybe I'll still find them.

Anyway I'll close now before I make y'all upset too!  Have a lovely Monday.  I will too.

Gosh, another rainy day but that's okay, I didn't have to go anywhere and I have done so much exercise this week I could use a day off so it's all good.  Today will find the duck and me at the WalMart, it's tax free weekend so it'll be a madhouse I'm sure but it is what it is.

Things are progressing nicely with our girl's appetite and ability to get around and things.  It's very easy now to do what needs done, she does a lot herself.  She is supposed to be a couch potato though so it's hard to keep her down.

My video on demand went out again.  I spent another two plus hours on the phone again and finally got an appointment for a tech to come on Monday.  I get so frustrated with them.  Even the really really nice lady I finally got after and hour and a half that promised to check something and call me back in 20 minutes - didn't.  Frustration is my middle name now.  One good thing, remember all my comcast problems a while back?  I got that comment and email from a guy?  Anyway I saved that email address and sent one saying what happened and I did get a call from them.  That's where I got the Monday appointment.

So my world is about dull for the near future but it's fine, I am enjoying some down time.

Yesterday I had one of those days where everything electronic went nuts.  The internet, the home phone, and the cable box all started not working properly.  I had a day of Comcast hell and ATT hell all rolled into one.

On an up note my friend that had the open heart surgery is doing well now and my girl is doing much better, even eating better.  Things are looking up nicely around here and the tv is working again and as I type this the phone is still NOT working but I expect ATT to be here soon.  

*Update*  the phone was fixed quite late, but fixed so it's all good here now.

Boy howdy Magic City is getting even better it that's possible.  Man that show is good.

I did another hour in the pool again yesterday.  That's four days in a row for an hour.  My swim mate is going home today though and I'll miss him.  He has been so helpful while he was here, fixed everything that needed fixed and found other stuff I didn't even know I needed fixed.  You should see my hall closet, it's a glorious site to behold.  Anyway he was a joy to have around and now my girl will be all mine for a bit until she gets released to travel home.  Don't know when that will be but I love having her here, especially since she is feeling a bit better.

I think our girl might be a bit better now, just a bit but that's progress.  I was really starting to worry yesterday, she seemed puny and I was afraid of infection but she seems better now.  She is still not eating hardly anything though.  She's eating some fruit and a protein shake and lots of water but that's about it for a day.  I am cooking foods she loves too.

I have now done four days in a row of an hour of water jogging, I am really getting strong!  My arms and shoulders are sore but not too bad.  Today they are calling for rain from that storm but maybe not.  I hope not anyway.  I sure am enjoying being in the warm water.

I really appreciate all the people concerned for my girl and am telling her about all of you, she said to thank you for all the prayers, thoughts, concerns, and love sent her way.  You have been incredible.
