This is the super moon last night looking toward Palm Beach at the Intracoastal.  It was really beautiful.  I sat on the seawall for a good while talking to people and enjoying life.  It was a friend's birthday and we went for dinner and then I wanted to go see the moon and then we talked to this lady with this great dog for the longest time, it was really nice.  I just wish I could have taken better photos.

Eight days till cruise time but who's counting?

Today will find me with the duck for our weekly lunch and then to Publix for our quest to fill our stomachs for the week with healthy offerings.  How was that for wording?  Now if I can just fill my basket with like items!

Hopefully it won't be raining when I get back so I can swim too.  I hate it when I miss a day but the late afternoons are so stormy this time of year here.

Sit, lay back, sit up, stand, lift, repeat.  Again.  Again.  Again.  Whew, I did it though, lots and lots of them.  Yesterday was a whole body workout, not just core.  It's funny how much I have grown to love these workouts and actually look forward to them.  Andre' is really fabulous too.  In fact Thursday I was in the ladies card room and he walked by and brought me a glass of water!  Too funny!  Drink!  Okay!

Then I did a half hour of pool exercise, not the full hour but it was enough.  I felt wonderful when I finished too.

Now if I can just get my bee-hind to the gym on the cruise, right?  That's doubtful though but we'll see.  Maybe the duck will go with me.  He's losing weight now too.  They really do have a nice gym on the ships.  You just have to GET in there.  Past all the food and the cakes and the bars and the bands and the casinos and the shows and the movies.

So last night's dinner turned out to be just two of us but it was very nice, it was with a gal I really like and we talked and had a nice dinner, no drinks, just tea and dinner.  Low calorie too.  Every time I go there I see people I know and last night was no exception, I saw four that I knew.  Summertime in West Palm Beach is like a small town really.  Nice.

Nine days till cruise time.

Life is good, you know?  We had some major storms roll through last night but they can't put a damper on my spirits.  Since I was safe inside I actually enjoyed watching them, the lightening and the rolling clouds.  Nature is amazing but sometimes so violent.

I won about ten bucks yesterday at canasta.  Five in the kitty and five in the end.  Pretty good day considering the week's losses I have chalked up so far, huh?  It was a nice game too.  Nice gals.

Tonight I am going out to dinner with two of my gal pals.  We go once in a while, not too often, usually we go to lunch but this time we are going to dinner.  That's good because sometimes Friday evenings are hard for me lately so I am glad to be doing something.

Andre' is going to beat me up this morning and then I am going to swim and maybe a short nap and shower for sure before I go out so it's a pretty busy day.  But fun.  Hope yours is too!

Today shall find me in the card room at the club after a nice lunch with some gal pals first.  No swimming for me today but it is supposed to rain anyway.  I hope it doesn't but it's the rainy season so it is what it is.  At least it doesn't usually rain too long.

I got my hair colored yesterday but she won't use Wen so I had to come home and redo it because it felt like straw to me.  I just can't stand shampoo any more.  It makes my hair feel awful.  I like the color but not the feel of it.

A week and a half until cruise time.  I am really looking forward to spending some time with the duck.  I know I get to see him on Sundays but it's rushed and he is always so busy these days, it will be really good to see him relax for a few days and just kick back.  He's such a great cruise buddy too.  He is up for about anything and is a great "wingman"! lol  It's funny too, when he is ready to sleep before he is all the way laying down he is sound asleep.  No insomnia there boy!  But we stay up late and get up early, we don't want to miss anything.

I did my pedicure already too.  You know you have to go through a toe inspection to get on the ship, right?  Because ugly toes are not allowed.  They do allow lots of things but not ugly toes.  

I wonder what a toe inspector makes an hour.  Probably about the same as those people that xray luggage.  How boring is that?  Sarge had a pacemaker so he couldn't go through that thing they make you walk through.  He always had to get patted down.  He always asked for a female to do it.  He never got it either.

Guess that's about all I have in my brain today y'all.  Hope your Thursday is totally tits.  Mine will be for sure!

Andre' had me do 45 minutes of core yesterday so I am pretty sore but I did it.  Then I swam for 1/2 hour.  I wish our budget allowed for some better lounge chairs but it's not going to happen right now what with the assessment for the hallways about to go out.  Anyway the pool was amazingly wonderful.

Then I had one of the kobe beef burgers and it was really good.  I didn't even put anything on it, it was good just plain.  I'll have to tell the butcher at Publix on Sunday when I go back.

Then came poker and I didn't do at all worth a hoot.  There's always next week.  I'll keep plugging.

Today I have maj and then I am getting my hair done and then I have a stop to make on the way home so I know I'll be tired at the end of the day.  

And that, my friends, is all I have in my brain for today.  Hope your Wednesday is fabulous.  Mine will be for sure!

So yesterday I went and got felt up by a cute gal got my breast exam and my blood work by my oncologist.  We always have some laughs and this appointment was no different.  She's a Georgia gal too.  When I got home I realized I had on two different earrings.  They were similar but not the same.  I noticed it when I took them off.

Then luckily I got my swim in before the rains came.  And came.  And came.  And then it rained some more.  I was happy to stay home all snuggled up on my couch with my music and my laptop.

I did, however, get the refrigerator cleaned out so that's one thing done.  Now for the freezer, the pantry, and my closet but they are all another day for sure.

Tonight is poker as you know and I plan on cleaning their clocks.

Thirteen days until cruise time.  And counting.

The "duck".  Jean (a new reader) asked me about who was the duck.  This is my son Chuck who from the time he was tiny was known fondly as Chuckie Duck, then shortened to the duck.  See I am Bee, daughter is Cat and son is Duck.  The trio.

Speaking of Cat I had a lovely facetime call from her again yesterday from London.  She's on her way home, what a great trip they had.  I am so happy they can do these things.

So yesterday the duck and I went to Red Lobster for lunch and while I was eating my salad something cut my mouth.  I reached in and it was a birthday candle!  In my salad!  Cut in two but held together by the wick.  I told the waitress and she brought me a new salad and they comped my meal which was nice but I'd rather it not have happened.  At least it was a new candle, not a burned one.

Then while I was at Publix I saw they are carrying Kobe beef now.  I bought some beef patties and buns for the (self appointed) mayor (of the pool) to grill for his lovely wife, himself, and me.  Hope they're good.  I don't eat much beef but this is very special stuff.  I had it once in Japan and it was wonderful.

Today I have an appointment with my oncologist for my annual exam.  I love that I am on annual exams now!  I am not expecting any problems but she is very careful and I let her be because, well, it's my life and I love it!

This is straight out of the camera from last evening.  No alteration at all.  What a beautiful sky.  I sat out on the balcony and watched it for a while just enjoying life.  The humidity was down as was the temperature, well, a bit anyway.  It is looking east as the sun set in the west reflecting on the eastern clouds.

Of course I go to lunch with the duck today and to Publix.  I don't need much but it seems like when I say that I end up with a cart full anyway but oh well.  My pantry is almost as full as my closet.  Both need a good cleaning out.  Another day, not this day.

Have you been eating peaches?  They are fantastic right now.  I ate my last two last night.  Some of the best I have had in years actually.  Big and fat and sweet and juicy.

Yesterday was a very long day for me.  I hung out at the pool for a good while but then when I came up and got my shower I just got my gown on and stayed in and that made for a really long day.  I should have gotten dressed again and gone and done something.  I know, I could have cleaned out the closet or the pantry but no, that's nothing I wanted to do and basically I do what I want as you know.  

I wasn't really bored but I was lonely.  I listened to music and did some exercise and made a healthy omelette for dinner and just wanted human contact.  Roche' tried to help but sometimes rocks don't understand.  He just wanted me to dress him up and hot glue rhinestones all over him.  He is a little sweetie though.

The workers are gone now, the crane is gone now, the a/c is working and I am a happy girl for sure!  Steve and Jane were able to come and clean and my apartment looks wonderful again.  And today?  Today?  I have nothing to do but go to the pool and bask in the glory that is life.

I was going to get my hair done but she can't do it until Wednesday so I don't even have that today.  Just sun and fun.

The apartment next door to me sold and now there is a young medical student in there, I haven't seen him yet but I hear he's in his 20's and so far he is very quiet.  I have been the only person on my floor for several months and it's kind of nice to have someone else around even if I don't see anyone.

I swear there is nothing like a Florida sky.  I could just look at them all the time, one is prettier than the next.

So yesterday I won six dollars at canasta, that was a pretty good day.  It was a nice game too.

Today I have Andre' waiting to beat me up a good one and then if it's not raining I have the pool and then some stuff in the manager's office to end the day.  As I type this there is still no a/c in the building.  I have had so many offers to stay at different friend's houses but I'll just stay home.  It's really finished and it should be turned back on this morning sometime.  Let's hope because Steve and Jane are coming to clean today and it needs it!

Well it's August now.  The dog days of summer are upon us.  Lovely aren't they?  I think so but the a/c will make it easier.  

That also means 2 1/2 weeks until cruise time.  Yay for that, I am so glad the duck can get away for a few days.  He needs it but I want it!  Ha, and when didn't I get what I want I ask you?  Mmmm?
