Can you see what all is in the locket?  Initials, a palm tree, a bee, and a rose to signify the roses Sarge always sent me.  How lovely a gift.  It came in the mail yesterday from Lisa.  So thoughtful!  I absolutely love it.

So yesterday I went to the dermatologist.  He took off a spot on my right hand and told me not to go in the pool for 3-5 days.  Yeah, right.  The (self appointed) mayor (of the pool) said I could put on a rubber glove and a rubber band and it worked perfectly so I got to do my hour!  

He also said my skin is fine and looked at what I use daily (I took everything in a plastic bag for him to see) and said it was great.  I had to get undressed and wear a paper thingy because he looked all over pretty much and used a big magnifying glass thingy with a light - at least that's what it looked like.  Anyway I'm good to go again.

Today I get to see Andre' the beater-upper.

Oh, I got my phone bill from Ooma.  $3.42.  For a month!  Don't ask my why I didn't do this before because I have no idea.  It's just crazy to pay phone companies their fees nowadays.  It sounds just like a regular phone and I use the phones I already had.  So far no problems.

Guess that's about it from me today.  Hope your Tuesday is totally tits.  Mine too, I have poker!

Then we picked up Old Chuckie Duck and went to Nick's for breakfast.

Barb had a healthy omelet.

I might have had two pancakes.

And possibly with syrup.  

Maybe.

But only a little bit.

But then I spent an hour and a half in the pool working so I think I'm good to go now.  In my world I am anyway.

Today I shall be at the dermatologist's office getting my skin looked over, under, and at.  Hopefully it's all good but we shall see.  As much as I am in the sun I don't ignore these appointments.

A week from today is my next appointment with Dr. Wacks and I am not hopeful to be at a better weight.  I am really struggling my friends.  Andre' said I should fast for 24 hours with only sips of water and then slowly add back protein and warm water with lemon the next day.  This sounds like no freaking fun at all a good plan but I won't do it without discussing it with the doc.

But the bottom line is I am still strong and healthy and I feel great so I have GOT to stop worrying so much about the number on the scale.  I know this but it's still hard to make my brain accept it.  

So it's Monday again huh?  Well make it a lovely week.  I will too.  And do something nice for someone okay?

Today I have a guest coming to visit for a bit and I am most excited about it.  It's someone you know too.  Stay tuned, there will be photos.  Well if I remember that is.

So last night the dinner was SOOOOO good, the company great, so much fun.  It was an Italian meal with steak pizzaoilia and eggplant parm and salad (which I brought) and broccoli, artichoke hearts, garlic bread, a wonderful appetizer tart of onions, tomatoes, olives, and lots of cheese in a wonderful crust, butter cookies, lemon pie, coffees and chocolates, and wine, of course.  I ate more than I have in several years it was so delicious and then we played cards afterward.  

Oh, and we watched the horse thingy on tv first.  I almost forgot that part, well it's sports so no wonder.  And one of the horses won but not the one everyone seemed to want to win.  It took a long time to start and then it lasted a minute and then some guy was complaining about the rules.  And that's all I know about sports.

I was home by 10:15 and it was a great day for sure.

Ahhh, summer is officially here in my world and I could not be happier about it either.  Today I will, unfortunately, be stuck in the card room instead of at the pool.  But it's all good, I will have fun wherever I am.

And tonight I am invited out to dinner at a friend's home.  I am bringing the salad.  It's an Italian meal which sounds delicious and I shall not be dieting there.  No fear though, I worked out enough yesterday that I think I can handle it.  

So far the Ooma phone is working fine, I am still waiting for my number to be ported over though so I can tell Comcast what to do with their phone system to cancel my phone.  Next I intend to find a replacement modem/router and get rid of return theirs and start saving that $8.00 monthly fee.  

I have just about decided to pitch the nutrisystem but still have about half the food.  I can return it to QVC but may not, may just eat some of it here and there for convenience.  Whatever.  No matter.  **Update:  I decided to call QVC to see about returning it and they said no problem, don't return it, they just issued me a credit for the full amount less shipping.  Now that, my friends, is above and beyond customer service.  No questions asked.  Wow.  I am floored.

This is looking toward West Palm Beach from the Southern Boulevard bridge.  The skyline sure has changed in the last few years.  I think our city is really becoming a nice place to live and visit.  There is always something to do and it sure is pretty.  Of course there are still some seedy areas like all cities but they are much fewer and further between than some years back.

I just can't figure out why everyone doesn't live here.  I should be glad I know but I just can't understand it.

Anyway in case you haven't noticed I love where I am and I love my life.  There are some nagging things going on around the condo right now but it will all get resolved soon one way or the other and things will get back to normal.

Today Andre' is going to beat me up again and I really do like the workouts.  Some have said that I can do it myself now and why do I still pay him but I know me and I know that within a few weeks I'd start finding excuses not to go.  I don't do that with the pool but I think I would with the gym.  Anyway I like it and I am going to continue for now.

I seem to be rambling today.  Sorry, I guess the fish oil has kicked in a bit.

This is my latest purchase.  I have heard great things about it and decided to give it a try.  My phone bill will be less than $4.00 now and this includes long distance and unlimited calling.  Canada will be 3 cents a minute now so, yes Paul, I can still call you and Marylou.  I'll let you know how it goes.  

I am disillusioned with Comcast to the nth degree so this is my choice to leave them.  I got it all hooked up by myself in about two minutes and it works so now they are porting my number over to them before I can cancel Comcast phone.  Oh, and I got it at WalMart online for less than the price at their website.  About $130.00 and free shipping, two day delivery.  It was more on Amazon.com too.

So yesterday morning I played Maj and I won and then I got my hair done and came home to having the air turned back on.  It really wasn't bad at all, I am just so glad it is all done too.  They said between three and five days and it was three.

It looks like my world is doing pretty good.  I hope yours is too!

Today I have a morning game and then I am getting my hair done in the afternoon.  It hasn't been too bad yet without a/c, the breeze has been nice and I haven't minded it but today Steve and Jane come to clean and I don't know how that will work out.  I told them they could change their time but they decided to come anyway.

Oh, and last night I finally won at poker!  Ninety six bucks too.  Pretty sweet.  I had been losing for a long time.  You have to have some luck in that game, skill helps but you have to have luck.

I did boxing with Andre' yesterday too.  I had never done that before, I had on the gloves and hit the thingy and also kicked it.  Then I swam.  Then when I was done with everything I started eating.  Only healthy stuff because that's all that I have in the house but I just couldn't stop.  I ate soup, salad, fruit, pop chips, cottage cheese and an apple.  I mean I seriously could not stop eating.  Strange.  Then I didn't eat the rest of the day.

I think most of you won't know what a water tower is all about but ours (upper left in second photo) had to be replaced (lower right in second photo).  I'm not exactly sure myself what it is other than the other half of our air conditioners.  One part is in our condo and we all share the water tower on the roof.  Somehow that makes ours work, maybe by magic, not sure.  Anyway we are without a/c for a few days while this is being done.  

Anyway I went swimming for my hour and it wasn't too hot at all, there was a good breeze so I was fine.  Let's hope this continues until it is finished.

Tonight is poker and I'm sure we'll all be very happy to sit there and play with no a/c, maybe they will all be drowsy and I'll win!

I am trying to stay on nutrisystem again and it's really hard.  The food is just okay, not great and I am hungry.  What they call a dinner is less than one cup of food and you add veggies.  I'll keep trying, heck I have the food here so I might as well.

Roche' is wearing one of his workout suits.  He says he is buffed now.  I guess he looked buffed.  Or something.  But the little shoes he wants?  Not so much.  I'd have to hot glue them on him.  We'll see.  But I draw the line at heels!

So yesterday I made the key lime pies I was supposed to make.  I made myself a teeny tiny one too.  It was pretty good I thought.

Today our air conditioning is supposed to be turned off so the new water tank thingy can be put on the roof.  It should be finished between Wednesday and Friday.  Nice going waiting until June, huh?  Several of us tried to get it done sooner but didn't prevail.  It won't bother me too much because I am so high up there is always a breeze so I'll just open both doors and use the fans.

Well it's Monday again, the first in June this year.  I hope it is a fantastic week for you, I know it will be for me...

So the month of June begins.  Delicious pool weather.  Amazingly long days with the sunset late in the evening.  I love summertime here.  Not too many people and the ones that are left are happy people for the most part.  Most of the complainers have gone.  This is my favorite time of year.

Today I shall be with the duck for lunch and shopping.  I haven't gone to the Walmart is quite a while, mostly we go to Publix now.  Not sure where we're going today yet.  

I made a hair appointment for Wednesday, it's really been too long.  Not on purpose but life just got in my way.

Well I have no more cruises booked now.  There are several I am considering but nothing firm yet.  I really like the larger ships more than the smaller ones but will go on any when it comes right down to it.

And that's all I have in my brain today.  Sorry, just nothing in there today.  Have a wonderful Sunday y'all.  I know I will too...
