I love a moon and a palm tree. Makes me happy to look at it. 

The duck is getting better. Tired but improving. 

I got caught up on everything yestetday including sleep, laundry, shopping, cooking, all of the mundane things we all have to do. 

So next up is getting back into that lovely pool and exercising.

This is one of the fountains at Cityplace. I took it Friday night when I was there for dinner. Then after I came home I got a call that the duck was in the hospital with chest pains so I went there next where I met Dr. Wacks and he took excellent care of him. The admitted him and I was there until around 3:00 AM.  All tests were negative but he was kept until Saturday afternoon for more tests. His heart appears to be fine so he was released and is at home resting. Sorry not to have been here. Back soon. Exhausted!

Today we were supposed to be at Half Moon Cay but it was cancelled because it is a tender port and the water was a bit too rough. We had a second sea day instead. 

Next is Nassau. The last day before Miami. Chuck had an excursion to Atlantis to the aquarium. Then he has a bridge tour in the afternoon. It's a private tour. 

Calvin has been a hoot as a cruise director. Lots of fun. I told him when he walked down the corridor he leaves a trail of glitter behind him. It's true too.

Fabulous evening. Totally wonderful. The end. 

Oh my gosh! He's 23 and just slipped me his number. Yikes! Cute too. But sadly, no. 

So far so good! Actually so far great!

I was asked to share my recipe for the scones but sadly I just dump and pour.  To tell you the ingredients is easy, self rising flour, crisco, buttermilk, raisins, sugar, dried cranberries, and sliced almonds.  Basically I make biscuits and add the sugar and fruit and nuts.  They bake at 425 for about 22 minutes.  I wish I could tell you exactly but when I make biscuits I do the same thing, just add until it feels "right".  Sorry.

Well today is the day.  I'm picking the duck up and we always go to Nick's diner for breakfast before a cruise so of course we'll do that and then head to Miami.  Come with us and we'll try not to disappoint and I'll try hard not to...

My two boys Ryan and Kyle at dinner. Love them both!  Such wonderful friends are now family to me. 

Sooo, yesterday my WCK came to see me and we had a perfectly lovely day. Things are good again. 

Today is packing and lunch with the duck. Then it's cruise day on Monday!  

Today I won't be Miss-Bee-Havin' like I might have been yesterday. Possibly. Or not. I don't kiss and tell!

I made scones for my WCK.  Does that answer your questions?  Yes we have come to terms on our differences. I still have no idea where, if anywhere, this will ever lead but for now I am enjoying the ride. 

I have also nearly finished getting everything together to take on the cruise but it's not in the suitcase yet but it's ready.

Don't pay any attention to my face in this photo, no makeup but lipstick but I wanted to show you my hair is still behaving and smooth since that beautox for hair treatment I had some weeks back. It has been much easier to take care of but I can still wear it curly when I want to do that. 

I'm in cruise mode now and getting clothes out to pack. I get out all I think I might want and then put a bunch back. No more over packing for me.

Well my WCK didn't come yesterday, he's coming this evening instead.  He had work problems and couldn't get away.  That's part of the problem.  I understand but it's just not what I want in a man.  We'll see what happens tonight and I'll let you know.  I like him, it's just really hard.  

Well August is now two-thirds over, my head spins sometimes time is going by so fast.  Four days till cruise time.  I got an email from the hotel director on the ship asking me to order some things for him and bring them.  It must be hard not to really have an address.  I'm more than happy to do it of course, he treats me so good it's really a pleasure that I can do something for him.  He's looking forward to seeing the duck too.  Plus I'll have my wing man back for the piano bar!  lol

This is the suitcase I just bought.  It's just slightly bigger than my little pink one and it's hard sided.  I'll let you know how it works out next week.  Did I need it?  Of course not.  Silly people! 

Today my WCK is coming to visit me.  That's a good thing but we have had a disagreement and have something to work out and that is the purpose of this visit.  It is yet to be seen if we shall go forward.  Or not.  Why is it so hard sometimes?

So I had my visit to the dermatologist and he said my skin was perfect, nothing to burn off, nothing to test, nothing at all.  Come back in a year.  Then I had a CT scan on my lung and chest and I don't have the results of that yet but I have no reason to think anything is wrong, Dr. Wacks is just careful and I'm very happy he is.

Birthday cake chewing gum?  Totally tits. It tastes exactly like cake!  How awesome is that?

It's time to get into cruise mode now. I ordered a new suitcase too. I know, ridiculous but still I did it. 

Miss-Bee-Havin'

This shows on the left a photo taken right before the face lift and on the right five months past it.  Remember Dr. Pinsky said it will continue to change for the first year.  Both photos are not retouched in any way.  To me it does not look like it was a lot of work done, just some smoother and the neck is getting better.  Also the jowl is better I think.  Anyway I haven't done this before and I think it's a good indication of the work I had done.

One of Chuck's friends/clients/residents "went out" this week and was dead of an overdose within 24 hours.  The disease of addiction is a killer, never forget that for one moment.  He left behind a small child too, a beautiful daughter.  How must she feel?  The entire family becomes part of the disease.

So Andre' shall be beating me up again today.  And my WCK called and he is coming on Wednesday.  He said he had to see me before I left for a week.  And that's all I know in my world.

Well it's Sunday so that means time with the duck.  I love these few hours with him each week.  I am so fortunate to have a son and a daughter that are so good to me.  That plus it's only a week till cruise time.  Now if I could just see my WCK one day soon it would be perfect.  Not sure if I will before the cruise or not.

So the duck had in an offer on a townhouse that he liked very much and it was negotiated and accepted pending the inspection.  Well the roof was bad and the hot water heater and air conditioner were past their life so he cancelled that contract and he's back to square one.  It has sure been a bumpy ride for him but he is continuing to try to find something.  I believe when it's right it will happen.

Well I got beat up yesterday by the great Andre' followed by my visit to the great Dr Wacks where he beat me up about gaining seven pounds.  I have to go back in 60 days and those pounds had better be gone, never mind that there is a cruise in the middle of it either.  Truthfully I really don't think I can exercise more that I already do so that means putting down the fork.  Period.  There is simply no way around it.

I shall give it my best go and will restock the pantry this weekend with the foods I used to eat.  I have let other things ease their way back into my life and they must be banished from the house.  If it isn't here I can't eat it.

So that was pretty much my day y'all.  Hope yours was great.  Mine actually was, I'm just venting a bit.

So it's Friday and that means Andre' will be beating me up good and this afternoon I have the second half of my annual physical with Dr. Wacks.  Tonight I am invited out with some of my guy friends to a (gasp) bar and I will probably go but I won't stay late, just for a bit.  That's three activities and really one more than my comfort zone.

Hopefully tomorrow I shall get to see my WCK but not sure yet if he will be able to get away or not.  He's sure trying though.

I lost yesterday at canasta but only a couple of dollars and I had a good time.  I didn't have lunch there though.  No one else wanted to and I didn't want to go there and eat by myself so I just ate lunch before I left home.

Yesterday I had my hair done. My WCK said it's the three "F" hair. Fabulous, flirty, and, well, I'll let you figure out the third one. But he only saw the photo, not me.  All I had of him was a phone call.  Maybe Saturday, maybe not.

Then last night I got to hang out a bit with Ryan and Kyle, love those guys.

Today will find me at the club playing canasta and possibly having lunch first, not sure about that yet.  

So therefore no pool today.  Oh well, cards are fun too, just not as much fun as the pool.

The boys tied one on last night. They played at the pool and had s nap and then found my gin. The buggers!  And Reggie was wearing Roche's thong when I found them. 

I had a lovely day yesterday. After the pool I did some chores and then Ryan and I went to dinner and then watched a movie and then my WCK called me and we talked for nearly an hour. Not sure when he will be back here but hopefully soon. 

The only thing on the calendar for today is getting my hair done. Oh, and Steve and Jane come and clean today.

Miss-Bee-Havin'

We're in the final days before school starts and all the children are at the bus stops in their new clothes with their books and papers and it's exciting I know.  I remember that first week of school and all the fun and anticipation.  And also the sadness of summer coming to a close.

But then there is my life where it is still definitely summer and I do love that.  Andre' beat me up pretty good yesterday too but that pool sure did feel good.

I think the duck finally bought a house.  His contract was accepted but now he has his inspection period to get through.  I haven't seen it but the photos look nice, it's a townhouse.

Well yay for Will Dixie again. My rewards card got me gas for $1.57/9. 

Today I get to see TCD again because it's my teeth cleaning day with the hygienist. I'll get a hug from him again too. But nothing else!  lol

Last night I went up to Ryan's for dinner and a movie and some of his other friends were there too. It was very nice and the food was wonderful. 

So it's Monday and we have a whole new week ahead of us. Let's go out and do something wonderful for first ourselves and next someone else!

Miss-Bee-havin'

If you are nearby you might want to attend this event at the Fern House. I have seen him twice now and it's a really good show.  It's a fund raiser and tickets are only $10.00. You won't have this much fun for ten bucks very often. 

Today I'll be having lunch with the duck and I have a dinner to go to at Ryan's at night. That's a lot of food. I have to be careful with every bite. I have to remember every single bite counts. The second bite is not as good as the first one and the third not as good as the second. 

I am having trouble getting back on the Bee-Bandwagon and losing weight again. While at the grocery store today I am going to do better in buying the food that is in my home. If it's not there it not there to eat. More fruit and vegetables and less junky stuff. Wish me luck. The exercise is great but the eating needs some changes.

Two of his photos are of me.  I feel very flattered that he put them there. I had given him one at Christmas and he asked if he could have the other one.  I swear that man takes my breath away he's so cute. But I have no idea if he is a good kisser because he has only kissed me in the cheek. The perfect gentleman. Too bad, huh?

And I was not Miss-Bee-Havin' either...

Today is Friday so that means Andre' shall be beating me up as well he should because I am not losing any weight.  I must cut back further than I already have.  I am not gaining but not losing either.  

Then it's a shower and then TCD's office.  I made him the chocolate cupcakes he requested, triple chocolate.  Between him and his mother they love some chocolate!

Plus it's Friday so I know y'all love that.  The weekend is upon us.  One of the last of the summer sadly.  Well not in South Florida but most places.  

Two weeks until cruise time with Old Chuckie Duck.  He's still trying to buy a house (townhouse preferably)but keeps getting into bidding wars.  Real estate around here is really heating up now.

Mahjong was nice yesterday and I won a little bit.  And my favorite Mayor (of the pool) brought me burgers for dinner again.  Delicious too.  I ate them both but not much of the bread.  How nice is it to have a neighbor bring you dinner?  Totally tits.

Today I have canasta at the club.  And maybe lunch first but I'm not sure yet about that.

Friday I am going to see TCD for a consultation about my bottom teeth.  The top are fine but I want to do something now about the bottom.  Some of them are a bit crooked and ugly and need to be capped.  Then Monday I have an appointment for my three month cleaning.

Today is Mahjong and lunch with the girls.  Last week I won a dollar and thirty cents so maybe I'll get lucky again today.

Yesterday was a totally lovely day.  My WCK came to see me and we went to the pool and went out to lunch and had a wonderful time.  And can that man ever kiss.  Makes my knees weak.  He stayed later too, almost until 5:00.  Remember he has a four hour drive back and left to drive down at 6:00 in the morning.  A very long day but he said it was worth it.

Andre' gave me a really good workout yesterday and I felt so good afterward.  Also I had my appointment with my oncologist and had a good report, no problems.  I don't have to see her again until next year!

Then last night I had a dinner at my house with Ryan and Kyle.  They had treated me so I wanted to cook for them.  I roasted a big fat chicken and made fresh green beans and stuffing.  No gravy.  It was pretty healthy.

This morning I have the first half of my annual physical, the blood work, EKG, all that stuff then I see Dr. Wacks for the next part a bit later.
