Today will find me having a session with Andre' and then lunch with D#1 before she leaves and then perhaps a swim if it's not too cold in the water.  I need to go see Andre' badly, it's been too long and I am going to get flabby if I don't hurry over there.  He'll whip that back into shape, I have no fear of that!

D#1's dental procedures are going well, she has many more visits ahead but that means I get to see more of her and that cute dentist is giving her the "Empress Bee" discount and trust me, it's a very good deal she's getting.  She will have the most beautiful smile ever when he is finished with her mouth.  He is a perfectionist.

I am pretty far behind on my blog reading and I'm not sure how soon I'll get caught up, it's been one thing after another so forgive me if I have not visited you recently.

Oh, and the duck and I got an almost free cruise last night from the casino on board Carnival, we are going in January on an 8 day cruise in a balcony for $260.00 with a $200.00 onboard credit.  It would have been completely free if we had taken an inside cabin rather than a balcony.  What a deal.  That's the second one this year that was that good.  Of course that is not taking into account what we have spent is said casino to get said perk but that's a story for another day, at least they are appreciating our business and we are happy.

This was last night's sunset.  I am so lucky to be able to see God's paintings every day.  One is more beautiful than the next.

D#1 is here for just a day on her way to a working assignment and she has a dental appointment while she's here.  She's leaving Tuesday morning to go to the next stop but I am lucky enough to have her for a day.

It has cooled down a bit here and that means the water in the pool is cooler.  I don't much like that.  I hope they kick on that heater soon.  The air is warm enough but the nights have been cooler and the water is much cooler now.

I have missed working with Andre' this past week and am more than ready to go back on Tuesday.  I always feel better after the workout.  

I guess that's about all I have in my brain for today, I'm going to go spend some time with D#1 now.  Hope your week is totally tits.  Mine will be, I just know it!

So okay, don't judge... I booked another one.  In a few weeks.  I couldn't help myself.  It was just too danged much fun and why the heck not I said to no one in particular.  The ship is going into drydock for new carpets and a few upgrades next week and then I gave it another week to work out the hiccups and then the following week will find me loving life.  

I was not able to get on the Empress Deck, all the balconies were already taken but I did get a balcony on deck 5 midship so it's all good.  In fact that will mean two more flights of steps everywhere I go so more calories burned.  No elevators for me unless I am staggering (kidding!)(maybe).

Yesterday was a quiet day for me, laundry, ironing, stuff like that.  I guess I needed a down day but it wasn't nearly as much fun.  And I had to make my own food and everything! lol

Now I'm getting ready to go see Charlie Daniels on Saturday!  I love that man, his music, his band, his charities, all of it.  I have no idea how he will go over in the Kravitz Center for the Performing Arts but I'm sure he'll do just fine wherever he is.  I just tend to think of him in a - well - rowdier shall we say - spot.

Guess that's it from me today, I am pretty brain dead here.  And remember, don't judge me, I simply cannot help myself...

A lesson...

A quick lesson I learned today and want to pass along to you. Do not go anywhere without your camera. Not even to lunch...

Here's what happened - I decided I had worked out so hard and taken the steps so much that I would treat myself to pizza for lunch. I still had on my bathing suit with a pair of shorts on over it and I put my key card in my pocket and nothing else and headed for the Lido deck.

I ordered my pizza and saw an old friend, the ship's engineer back there and he said to come eat with him so I got my diet coke and followed him to a large booth where - are you ready - I sat next to the Captain for better than hour chatting and laughing and looking at photos on his phone and talking about all the ships and me with no camera!

He is so amazing, talked about his family, apologized for not having a dinner this cruise, there are 56 diamonds so it's a cocktail party instead.

Finally I said I should be going because I knew how busy he is and we all parted.

So, like I said, take your camera! You have been warned. I learned the hard way!

Nassau morning

I was up very early to see the glorious sunrise from the balcony and watch the amazing Captain Barrile parallel park a cruise ship.




Then I came inside to call room service to order my bagel and coffee and they answered like this... "Good morning Bee, your breakfast is ready". Within a half a minute this was delivered.

I'm sorry but I am never getting off this ship, I am just going to live here forever.

I had more than my hour in that lovely pool alone next while I watched the crew do the lifeboat drill, lowering them to practice. It made the time go by so fast!

Miss-Bee-Havin' - Part Three

So here goes - I was good all day, I mean really good. I ate good, I exercised good, I bee-haved myself. But then this evening there wasn't much to do that interested me. The piano bar is closed on Wednesdays, the production shows are not tonight, no comedy club...that pretty much left me in the casino with my unlimited sail and sign card and my own resolve - or lack thereof.

Let's just say I sat through four dealers at a three card poker table and I will say I did have a good time, the other players and I got along really well. We were all losing pretty good too. When the casino is comping drinks it's time to go. You are spending way too much.

So I finally went all in and lost and came back to the cabin to get a good night's sleep so I could be raring to go tomorrow, the final full day and the Captain's party tomorrow night.





So another day and I'll be closing down another cruise. It's a wonderful ship, clean, beautiful, delicious food, great staff, handsome officers, talented entertainment...what's not to love?

Miss Bee Havin' Part Two

Elizabeth Setzer and Josh "Big Sexy" Waltzman in the piano bar last night. So I left you with the first show, the casino, and the officers, and the comedy club. Next up was the second show, this one was The Brits, a Beatles show which was very good. That ended with a finale in the Atrium at 11:00 and then on to that piano bar...

Where it is POSSIBLE that I MAY have been on it in a few boas and a hat to sing some Beatles stuff and have some fun. And another gin and tonic. Maybe. There are no photos of this though as I had no one with me to photograph such possibility.

Then there were some guys from Australia that possibly got on the piano and may have done some stuff that was pretty funny. And then three gals got up there and sang. We were having a pretty good time about now.

Then it is entirely possible that I had an unheard of third drink. If you choose to believe this post. Not that you have to if you choose not to.

So it was about 1:30 when they called last call but I didn't have another one. You are glad, right? Me too, my head hurt bad enough without that! Anyway I made my way back to my cabin (alone!) and found this waiting for me..




This was from Josh. It must have been there quite a while as the ice was melted. There is this one gal, a cute crew member, that is having a great time because every morning I give her the stuff from the night before. The cookies, wine, champagne, just stuff. She is loving it. I did eat a few of the berries though. Delicious.

So I did an hour and a half in the salt water pool this morning to make up for the last night's fun. And now I am off to seek another adventure...

Miss Bee Havin' Part One

So as I have my balcony breakfast I'll start to tell you...




Oh, and I asked if they could heat the milk for the coffee, yes they could!

I am in Half Moon Cay (pronounced key) as people tender ashore while I write this.



So okay here's the story and you can believe it or not, whichever your little heart desires.

Last night was "Cruise Elegant" night (used to be called formal night) and I put on my red dress and hit the deck running. Photos taken first ( more on that when I go buy some to show you) and then dinner.

Now I was pretty good at dinner and when I went to order (my first of the cruise) dessert here's what happened. I asked for Grand Marnier Souffle and the waiter asked me if I wanted that in addition to my "special" dessert. I had no idea what he was talking about but I said no, just the special one then. They took the souffle and served it with perfect berries and vanilla cream sauce on the side. I would have taken a photo but decided that would just be tacky so I just ate it. Well half of it - I swear. It was beautiful.

Then they had the "general meet the Captain" in the prominade but we had a medical emergency and had to divert to Nassau for a quick debark to save a cruiser's life and the Captain was a tad busy so the rest of the officers and Josh, the Cruise Director were there so I talked to them a bit and then headed for the casino.



After doing pretty danged good in there I cashed out and went to the first comedy show. I ran into a woman from my dinner table so I went in with her. The comedian asked, as we walked into the show in progress, if we were busy being a couple before we got there (not his exact words!) and I said well yes, thank you for asking. Lots of lagughs there.

Next I went to the first production show. On this ship there are two and both different. During the show the Captain came on and announced that the disembarkation had been successful and we were now underway again. The show was very good and I might have had my (first) gin and tonic of the night.

So okay, back later with "the rest of the story"...
