My brain is in full cruise mode now.  Forgive me.

Oh, and I learned something yesterday.  I was out and about and went to wash my windshield because it was all salty from the windy weather.  The wiper blades were not doing a good job and so I pulled into the dealership.  The service guy, Shorty, was the one Sarge always went to see.  I tipped him ten bucks and he had my car washed and gave me a card for another free car wash whenever I am in the neighborhood.  Now I know why Sarge always tipped everybody.  Oh, and I got $55.00 worth of new wiper blades installed.  Don't tell me I paid too much.  That's $55.00 plus tip.

Then I swam for an hour and then Mike from Square One came over to talk about servicing my storm shutters.  They were new three years ago but with all that has gone on in this house I had not bothered to have them serviced.  It really should be done every year to keep them rolling smoothly and nicely.  He'll contact me with a date and price soon.

It's supposed to be a rainy weekend here.  I know we need the rain but I don't really like it, well, other than a shower.  I hope it doesn't keep me in the house anyway.

Have a great Saturday y'all.  I sure will too!

  1. The wipers are worth whatever it takes to not install them. Trust me. Installing the blades can be a pain in the neck.

I want to be in cruise mode.

  2. I always have my new wipers installed. For some reason all 3 of the Lincolns I've had have all been a PIA to install wipers. What's up with that, Lincoln? Although I use the local PepBoys to do it. If you got a car wash plus one more... I'd say you did quite well!

Rain, we has it, too. bugger.

Have a lovely day! big hugs xoxo

  4. $55.00 for wiper blades sounds like a lot to me, but what do I know.

  7. Tipping well ALWAYS pays off. People remember, and treat their return customers great because of it. Smart to continue doing that, and glad you got the new wipers.

Maintenance is important for the storm shutters. You are smart here as well to be keeping on top of it!

We need the rain so badly, but I can understand your wanting to be outside in the warm air, swimming in the warm pool!

  8. My friend A and his wife Meilin came to see mom yesterday. After leaving mom we went and had dinner at Piccaro's, an Italian place. Wonderful place to eat and I didn't really call what I ate. I'll get mad with myself tomorrow when I step on that scale. Every day you mention about your cruise I get excited myself. Keep getting excited my lovely friend. See you Bee.

  9. Yes, you are always in full cruise mode about two weeks before a cruise. Good for you.

I will do my best to get your baby to you before your cruise. Let me get back home and you can choose the baby you want and I'll get it to UPS.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from sunny and warm California. :)

  10. Installing wiper blades is a huge pain. What ever you paid for them it was well worth it. I don't know why they make it so hard but they do.

    cheers, parsnip
