Well yesterday was much better than the day before.  And I did an hour in the pool!  My neighbor Daniel has a houseguest named Tom and I was talking with him (he's a personal trainer) and he was telling me some things to do and the time just flew by.  We talked a bit about my diet and I told him I did not eat much fat at all and know I should eat some.  He made a wonderful suggestion.  He said to use fresh avocado as my fat, on sandwiches, in salads, just on the plate with dinner, whatever but several slices a day would be good for me.  I love it so I will do this.

Do you realize that this Friday is March 1st!  I sure will be glad to say good bye to February, my least favorite month.  This year wasn't too bad, just a cold snap but not too long.  I sure feel sorry for y'all that are having such a hard winter and hope spring sprouts for you soon.

Have a lovely Sunday.  I will too!

  1. I need a PT. I've been doing a little bit of exercising here but I know I really should join the gym. It's only about a mile from here and I could go before work. It would be so much better for me. And as soon as I find where I left my motivation, that's just what I'll do, too.

Rain, rain and more rain here. bugger. This month sure has stunk weather-wise.

Have a lovely SUN day! big hugs xoxo

  2. Both of my girls have personal trainers. One should be a personal trainer! I do not know where they get their motivation but I sure am glad they didn't take after me.
We love avocados around here. Wally's doc told him to put a Tbls of canola oil in his protein shake because he was losing too much weight eating for diabetes.
Glad you are getting more swim time!!!

  3. So glad you had a nicer day. And a "consultation" with a personal trainer, to boot. Good suggestion about the avocado. I love them in a salad. Have another great day today!

  4. That is a good idea about the avocado. I love them too, and they contain good fat. The rose is beautiful, my favourite colour (for roses).

  5. Avocado? Hm-mm. I love our winters up here--of course we didn't get blasted like the eastern states, but we have about 5 inches on the ground and right now, it is flurrying a bit. I love how the snow clings to the branches on the pine trees. The sun is shining and it is a beautiful day. At least we don't get rain all season--that would depress me. I guess I need the changing 4 seasons to keep me in balance. I like how the weather changes with each season and the gorgeous trees in the fall and the bright green of spring. I don't much like hot and humid, so I'd be a sad person if I had to live in Florida. To each his own, as they say. Have a great day--hope you get some pool time.

  6. I just bought an avocado yesterday. Love them. Nice that you got free advice. Enjoy today.

    Big hugs, honey...

  7. Love avocado... The fats keep your hair from falling out and help brain function. Like your fish oil.

New treat = 1/2 cup FF greek yogurt mixed with 1/2 cup unsweet apple sauce and a packet of stevia.

  8. Yes avocado is a great source of good fat. I love it that you got some free advice. Good for you.

Have a terrific day and I'm ready for March too. Big hugs. :)

  9. Ciao !!!

Your Friday was really good, I hope your Saturday also is amazing!
We had so much snwo yesterday, and it was said we 'd have more snow last night, but a great sunny Sunday has transformed much snow into water...we hope it's off! It's very cold tonight though1

    big hugs!!!

  10. Well I have been stuck in bed since Thursday with some stupid flu, even though I got my flu shot. May try to head to work tomorrow and get an appt with my doctor. I just thought maybe it was some one day virus. Nope not for me. I hope I continue to improve with a fever, but I have many aches that are still there, especially in my shouiders ribs and neck.

    Ebow bump Bee!!

  11. What a great idea about the Avocado!
