Scooter be gone!

St. Thomas on the path to town.

This upcoming cruise will be my first cruise without a scooter for some time.  I am so happy that I won't be using it.  I almost decided to take it and keep it in the cabin "in case" but then I thought why bother?  I can walk the entire Walmart and then water jog for an hour now, why would I need that?  Plus I'm not carrying around all that blubber you see above now either.  Yee haw!

I am not playing any cards this week or MahJong either.  So many people are sick, every game has sick people I am not going near any of them.  I am doing everything in my power to stay well.

So last night I wanted something Italian for supper.  I took two chicken beasts (for two meals) and put some pasta sauce (from a jar) over them, some mozzarella on top (1/4 cup), covered with foil and baked 40 minutes at 350.  The last five minutes I took off the foil to let it brown.  Served with 2 ounces of linguini it turned out to be 470 calories.  That's more than I usually have in one meal but much less than the old way I used to make this plus I've been earning calories in the pool which I don't use.  So tonight I don't have to cook, just heat and eat and I got my Italian fix.

And I was half done eating when I realized I didn't take a photo, sorry.  But you know what it looks like, right?

So stay well and have a lovely day y'all.  Me too...

  1. YAY you! I was wondering if you had taken it on your last cruise. My knee is still not much better and the way I'm walking so it doesn't hurt as much is making the place above the back of my ankle hurt. I was wondering if I'm using a different Osteo Bi-Flex than you are. Which one exactly are you using?

Staying away from sick folks is wise right before your cruise... stay healthy so you can fully enjoy your cruise. Sick sucks always but you definitely don't want to be sick on your cruise!

Have a lovely day! big hugs xoxo

  4. I love the thought of earning calories to spend on some extra goodies once in awhile. I can't wait until I am well again and can get back on track. I am not eating badly, but I am def. not exercising. There's just no way right now. Sick sucks!

  7. Way to go on leaving the scooter at home. I love it. You are right you don't need it at all.

Dinner sounds good. Italian is always a favorite around here. We just don't have it too often.

I gained 1.5 pounds on our weekend and this morning 1/2 pound was already gone, so I've got a pound to deal with. Pretty good for all the yummy food I had.

Have a terrific day and yes stay away from the sick people. Big hugs. :)

  8. Bee, No more scooter, that is the best news. Look how much healthier you have become. Wonderful. I know what you mean by staying away from sick people. My classmates were all in great health yesterday at brunch. I am not hugging anyone who's coughing or sneezing. I actually want to limit my time out right now.Stay healthy for your cruise. xoxo, Susie

  15. Ciaoo!!!
Great achievement: the scooter had to carry the excess weight, you reached a healthy weight and the muscles of your legs and back are well trained...
Have a healthy week for your cruise!!!

    Big hugs, honey!!!

  17. Bee, that is a HUGE lifestyle change. Congratulations! And yes, stay away from the sickies. And stock up on hand sanitizer for the cruise. It's great they have some in front of the dining room, and then you go in and they hand you a menu that's been touched by so many. I came home with a rash on my hands from washing and sanitizing so much, and it was worth it to come home healthy.
