Tuesday in paradise

This is the crown moulding they are using.  It's two different pieces and they will be separated about an inch and that inch will be painted pink and the walls will be a soft green.  Some of you have mentioned that the colors look like a bedroom or that I will quickly get tired of them.  No, I don't think I will and the whole apartment is going to be pink, green, and white.  I told you I wanted it "girled up" like Jean(ie) suggested.  If I do get tired of it I can repaint and get a new couch and bedding.  Not a big deal.  The chairs I want to buy are white leather recliners, small size.

So I had another day off yesterday (smile) that was sunny and bright and I could get in the pool again.  Rats.  Even when they turn on the pool heater it will take several days to warm up and it's going to get really chilly for a few more nights.

But..... I had a lovely day and enjoyed the sunshine and all this glorious earth has to offer.  Today I'll be playing canasta.  And no poker tonight as we played last night.  It was Penny's (the dealer) birthday and she had plans for tonight.  So one of the guys brought a cake and I had a piece.  Tits!

Have a terrific Tuesday y'all.  Me too...

  1. Love your girlie colors ! I think they sound great.
And I think it is so YOU !
Lot of people in Arizona use color on the walls from reds, yellows, greens and blues in every room but my wall are white (some ceilings are light blue) because I want to show of my artwork and paintings. Except for the studio my home is very minimalist. But I like it and it is my home.
So I am very happy to hear you doing what you want. You go girl !

    cheers, parsnip

  2. You should get what you want, and paint is cheap. I mean, it must be;. My People are cheapcheapcheap and they paint every couple of years. I'd like a black room, but I haven't gotten it yet, mainly because they just don't pay attention to my needs... =sigh=

  3. I love the color palette but what matters is that YOU love it. And you're absolutely right, you can always repaint if you get tired of it. Lord knows I do that fairly often. :) I got tired of my raspberry mud room and accent wall in the kitchen, so off with its head! And I can't wait to repaint my bedroom. Soon.

I so want a white couch and chairs, but I am afraid to do it because of the cat hair. I did find a great sofa and chairs in Ikea that have slip covers that you can take off and toss in the washer and dryer. Or buy different ones in different colors or patterns to change it up for fairly cheap. I'm seriously considering them.

Sorry the pool is chilly. But you'll have a plan B for sure! Have a lovely day. Big hugs xoxo

  6. I'd love to add some color in our apartment. It's brown wood paneling or white...but since it's not ours we can't go too crazy.

  11. Will it be a celadon green and bright pink? I love it! it'll be a like a Lilly Pulitzer sundress. Yes, I'm showing my age...

We did a built-up crown moulding in my house's bedroom (before the condo) and it really changed the look of the place! I love that trick.

    I'm excited about your redecorating!!!!!!
