Tuesday and other stuff...

It started out raining yesterday but soon became sunny and bright so I was able to get in the pool for my exercise.  It didn't take long to turn into this though:

Luckily I was finished my 45 minutes and back upstairs when it happened.  Sarge just loved to sit on the terrace and watch storms roll in.  It was always one of his favorite things to do.

Thank you all for weighing in yesterday on the terrace cushions.  Here is what I decided to do.  Keep them for a bit and then recover them myself.  They are comfortable to sit on (on which to sit?) so that's it.  You were all most helpful and as always, I appreciate honesty.

Today I have canasta if the gal with the (really really) bad memory shows.  There have been issues with that lately.  Otherwise I'll just go to the pool if it's not raining.  There is no MahJong tomorrow either, three gals can't play for different reasons.  I'm having lunch with one of the gals though.

If you haven't heard (or read) the duck passed his big test yesterday for state certification.  He sure did stress over it but came through just fine.

Guess that's  all I have in my brain today.  Hope y'all's day is totally tits.  Mine too...

  1. I would have loved to have sat out on the terrace with Sarge and watched the storms blow in; there's nothing like watching the forces of nature at work.

Have a great day at Canasta, I'm trying to remember how to blog and better manage my time but I'm not too sure how it's going yet!

  3. My daughter was camping up at the lake Saturday and managed to take some great photos of lightning strikes all around them, a couple of which started fires. Did I mention they were in a tent? I do love watching storms!

I just realized that I have the very same two chairs! I was so busy checking out the orange color I didn't notice! We've had the for several years and they very comfy! Our cushions are a neutral gray/green.

  7. YAY Chuckie Duck! I knew he'd pass, as I'm sure you did. I saw his FB update. Pizza! Great way to celebrate!

I'd enjoy sitting on your balcony watching the storms roll in, too. I do that on my patio. As long as I can quickly retreat when necessary, its lovely to watch! Who knows, one day I may enjoy my own high rise condo with a view. A gal can hope!

Enjoy your day, however it stacks up! big hugs xoxo

  8. I forgot to comment that I liked the cushions. They were very bright and florida like, meaning sunny, summery, etc. They don't have to match the other set, they only had to match each other in my brain at least. Glad you are keeping them, its way easier than returning them. Your doorman will be grateful, I am sure.

    Congrats to OCD!

  9. So proud of Chuck! It has been quite the journey, 'eh?
I am so proud of you! You have taken control and that is GREAT! The best part is being able to walk through the store without the scooter! AMAZING!
Will my feet get smaller? What a bonus!
Love you AB ... and miss you!

  12. You know Bee, once again Charlie and I loved sitting down and just watching a storm. I'm not positive about lightning storms but I loved the sound of thunder.
So after all the peoples comments about the chairs you going to cover them. Oh well a chairs a chair, put your rear end in it and relax. Ha,ha,ha.
Mary Lou and I are going to Windsor to buy things at Costco. I say some things but it comes to a lot when we get home. Have to go now my wonderful friend.

  13. How gorgeous your view is, and no wonder Sarge loved to sit and watch the storms roll in - I would love that too!

Congratulations on the Duck passing his test. You must be very proud of him - and hopefully he feels really good about himself too. Staying sober despite the pain/loss of Sarge's death is a huge tribute to him.

As far as the memory loss - geez, me too! I forget people's name A LOT, and even a word in the middle of sentences sometimes. Hope it doesn't get any worse, or you'll forget you're on a shopping ban:)

  19. Good Evening Bee!! I was looking at some pictures tonight that Big Ed sent me when I was looking for a good picture to make a flat Bee out of it. They were from BC4 and before. Wow have you ever lost a lot of weight. I bet you look 10-20 years younger. Your heart and spirit make you beautiful, but the pictures show how hard you have worked to get where you are now. Way to go!!!

    Big Hugs,

    Bobbi
