Saturday at my house...

Yesterday I took the duck to see the surgeon, he was in there less than five minutes and the incision had been deadened, cut, drained, and bandaged and he was back in the car.  We went to Panera Bread to eat while we waited for his antibiotic to be ready to be picked up, a quick stop at the fruit stand and homeward bound.  I was changed and in the pool by 11:50 in the bright sunshine.  And out of the pool at 11:59 in the stormy rain, lots of thunder too.  Came out of nowhere.  I waited 45 minutes in my (wet) bathing suit to get back in and finish but no, it kept raining and storming so I gave up and came back upstairs.  I got my clothes on to wait for Comcast.

And it rained.  And rained.  And rained some more.

Comcast arrived 10 minutes before 5, 10 minutes early and stayed until almost 7:30.

He worked really really hard trying to fix it, looking everywhere for the "splitter".  It seems the wiring is old and needs to be rewired.  Didn't I say that a month ago?  Yes I did.  No matter, it will be done soon.

Cable boxes, I have them.  Do they work?  Well for now.  What that means is as soon as Comcast sends another signal it won't work again.  Or the power flickers.

And still it rained, until all was done and he was gone and it was too late to swim today.  Then it got nice out again.

Today I have canasta and lunch at the club.  The bottom line with the cable is I am expecting an email to tell me when they will be back.  And if I have to pay for it.

The end.

  1. I love the colors of your home !
What a beautiful cabinet for your TV.
I find the people who come out to your home are usually really nice and helpful but comcast is the pits !
    Hope this gets fixed soon.

    cheers, parsnip

  2. Funny, but I had one of those guys at my house today, too! Only it's Bright House, thank goodness. We usually get service within two days - and they give us a two hour window. Our signal was messed up, and that was messing up the wireless connection. Got that all settled, and my tech guy came to hook up my new laptop and it will not work! So, it goes back tomorrow. Fortunately, we bought the service plan, but I just get aggravated when stuff doesn't work...
Hope your swimming weather returns quickly. That sunset is awesome! I love the evening sky when rain has washed all of the gunk out of it!
    Happy Saturday!

  3. You certainly should NOT be paying for any of this work that Comcast is doing.

The wiring might be another question, though.

  7. Good to see everything is OK for the Duck. Rain, rain go away so that my swimming friend can enjoy her pool today. Pretty good isn't this?
Mary Lou went to her doctor and has to go to a specialist. I'm beginning to worry about her. Time to go. I have to bring AmyLynn to work this morning. See you.

  8. The sky was incredibly gorgeous after the rainstorm! BEAUTIFUL! The lovely thing is that you have a magnificent view, rain or shine, and that's a lovely thing to live with.

Comcast is a major pain in the patootie. 2 and a half HOURS for his visit? Ugh. At least the boxes work - for now.

Hope Duck heals quickly, and you have a happy Saturday!

  10. He may not have been in there long, but having had a similar procedure done when I had my appendix out 30 years ago, I can only say ouch with total empathy. THat hurts, but in the case of exudate, which is a nice way of saying, pus, better out than in! Hope he feels better, soon.

Hope you stay dry and safe with Isaac on his way! May your cable signal stay strong!

  11. Glad the Duck is better now.

As for the cable guy? I think they'll get to the bottom of this and you can enjoy your entertainment center again.

I hope you can use the pool today.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

    Glad that Duck is better!
