First of all let me tell you I am very happy about Big Brother and like the new show already. I know it's just trash but I enjoy it three times a week for an hour and I admit it. I think Survivor has run it's course but I still like Big Brother.
Today I have canasta so I won't be in the pool but yesterday I went in for a long time and did some really good exercises. I had to go at 11:00 because I was meeting the duck at 1:00 and the water wasn't all that warm. I like it later when the sun has beat down on it for a while. Now it wasn't cold mind you, just not warm enough. Well for me anyway.
There was a different old guy at the pool. I was about half done when he got there and he came in and was in about maybe three minutes and out he went. He was too cold. Once I got to jogging I got okay in the water but was just as glad he left. I like it to myself. And I was gone before that other guy got there, he comes around noon and I left at ten till.
I got some good veggies and fruit at the fruitstand yesterday and especially more tomatoes. This time they are not wonderful but still good. And I got the car washed too. When it's dirty I feel bad because it was Sarge's car and he took good care of it. If you remember he used to charge me a dollar to drive it.
I'm hoping y'all have a lovely weekend. I know I will...
I always feel so great when I am in the pool for my exercises. Wish I felt that good when I am back on land.
ReplyDeleteI love driving around in a clean car but I understand your problem living so close to the ocean.
I lived by the ocean for so many years and I understand how the car and house windows would get so gunky !
Have a great day, The Square Ones say woof !
cheers, parsnip
Ditto about the salt air and living by the beach. I love your okra slimy description. I love it fried but I also like it boiled. One of a few that do..... We've got a huge pool here and there's no earthly reason I don't go down there. Well, one good reason. I look like a Shar Pei. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI do miss the pool we had at the apartments in Florida! I hope the next place we move to, has a pool(s) and the ocean very near by! I too used to enjoy either swimming alone or of course with my love. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a pool that someone else maintained for me. Pool maintenance is a bother I don't ever want. Of course, I am welcome in my neighbor's fabulous salt water pool any time but it'a a bother to schlep all the way over there just for a 30 minutes or so. And of course, they may want to me to stay and chat with them and sometimes that's a bother. And I feel like I am bothering them and imposing on their hospitality so I have only been in the pool twice in 3 summers. Apparently, I can't be bothered. :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun at canasta! big hugs xoxo
More power to you on keeping the car sparkling. I live in the land of ice and snow in the winter months and I can't remember the last time I had my car washed. I just don't bother. Cars have always been transportation to me so I don't relate to the car mania that guys have. If it is safe and gets me from point A to point B, I'm done with it.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving big brother too. My boys love that show and they are missing the first month due to camp and are a little bit made about that. I like the twist with the Coaches but think Russell Hanz's brother is a moron for not telling who he is. They are going to find out. Also, why did the nurse lie and say she is a teacher. They have nothing to do in that house but blab about their lives all day. She is going to mess up. (can you tell I love the show?)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Ms. Bee.
Bee, Glad you did your water exercises. I laughed when you said Sarge made yo pay a dollar to drive his car. That's a cute memory for you. I am going to post my photos tomorrow of all that I buy at the flea market. Enjoy this day, xo, Susie
ReplyDeleteThat is a good memory of Sarge, and it made me smile.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day. Big hugs, honey...
What Sandy said. I smiled too.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good day yesterday, but wish the tomatoes were better. I know exactly what you mean too.
Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from cool California. :)
Buongiorno!
ReplyDeleteI remember the one dollar question!
Glad you could have lunch with duck!
Have fun at canasta!
Big hugs!
Keep looking for the good tomatoes and let the standkeepers know when they aren't as good. They need the feed back! I can't believe that tomatoes are still the main crop they are with the ones in the stores and even at the stands so tasteless. And if it lacks flavor what else does it lack that it should have? People should care more. We don't bother buying them any more, by the time the good ones are in anywhere I have them here at the farm, when I don't have my own tomatoes the only ones in the stores are an awful substitute for the real thing. Oops there I go, standin' on my soap box, or produce box as the case may be! Have a very good weekend!
ReplyDeleteThere aren't many farm stands around here, even though there are lots of farms. I don't get it. I hate the produce at the local supermarket, it's really bruised up and not worth spending the money on it. I have to go even farther out of my way just to get some decent fruits and veggies.
ReplyDeleteAnd, are you charging yourself a dollar for driving it and donating the funds to a worthy cause?
ReplyDeleteJust joking - I remember how Sarge loved to charge you that dollar. I think he still wants you to pay for the privilege.
Happy Saturday
Jon
If I won the lottery I would buy a house with a pool, so I could use it every day. Exercise is so much easier in water isn't it?
ReplyDeleteAw, I DO remember that Sarge charged you a dollar to drive his car. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteWe have a farmer's market opening here Thursday! woo hoo!
