Monday in paradise...

It occurred to me that I hadn't taken a photo from the bedroom terrace.  Here's what I see from there.  That pond is in front of the club and is full of turtles.  If you walk around it they come to you.

The the white roof is the clubhouse.  The water you see is Clearlake, not the Intracoastal.  The ocean is on the horizon, on a good day I can see it.  I call it "ocean glimpse" and not "ocean view".

Yesterday the duck wasn't feeling too good.  His belly was hurting from the surgery.  The surgeon told him it was normal and would take a while but still, he was hurting.  Poor baby.  Anyway we did manage to have a nice lunch and go to the Walmart and then I came home and did my pool workout.

I am walking more and more now.  My legs are strong enough but the only problem I am having is breathing, I get so out of breath after about a half a block.  I am going to push myself more and more to try to get over it.

Steve and Jane come today to make my condo sparkle and then I have to go to the dentist for a cleaning.  I go every three months.  I don't know if it's necessary or he's making more $$ on me but I listen and I go.

So that, my friends, is my world in a nutshell.  Hope your Monday is fabulous!  I know mine will be...

  1. I like your "ocean glimpse". But mostly, I especially like your Steve and Jane!

And speaking of walking, that reminds me that I forgot to pick up another bottle of Osteo-Biflex yesterday.

Have a lovely day! Big hugs xoxo

  7. I can see the Detroit River straight down the Middle Side Road to the stop lights. I wish I could even catch a glimpse of the ocean. Oh well my river is OK.
Have to go now. My grandchildren just arrived. See you my lovely friend.

  9. What a great view! Sorry to hear the Duck is feeling under the weather, hope he's 100% soon. My previous dentist used to insist I had a scale and polish every 3 months but my new dentist said it's not necessary and I don't seem to have had any adverse affects from having a scale and polish every 6 months instead. I think my previous dentist just wanted to make more money!

  11. I am catching up ... so here is a comment re: a previous post. I don't mind when people ask me how much weight I have lost. I do get a tad embarrassed when I am with someone and they have to hear nice comments over and over by different people. But I don't mind the attention. I worked hard for it.
    I am just saying.
Oh ... and eat what you're eating ... it's obviously working!

  13. Typically it's recommended to go to the dentist twice a year but some dentists recommend more if you have a history of cavities or something.

  14. Gorgeopus view, Ms. Bee! When can I move in? Hahaha!
I love turtles. I'd be there all day watching them and taking their pics. Hope duckie feels better soon. My laparoscopy was 3 weeks ago & I still hurt when I try to pick up something or bent over. It takes some time :)
    Hugs from still muggy Ohio,
    I.

  15. I like the "ocean glimpse," as you call it.

I hope Chuck is feeling better today. Take a photo or two of the turtles when you see them!

  16. An "ocean glimpse" would certainly be nice - along with a Steve and Jane!

My dentist only requests I come in for a cleaning every six months but maybe that's a Connecticut thing? I bet in California they go every month to keep their pearly whites sparkling!

Hope that Chuck is feeling better soon!
