It's Wednesday y'all...

Solid gold plastic ships on a stick... I has 'em!  These are not counting all the ones I gave away either! Don't mess with me at trivia contests, ha!  What is it about these silly things that so many of us love so much?  Memories, pure and simple!  I have those too.

Well canasta got canceled yesterday because the one with the sick doggie had to take the little thing back to the vet.  Poor gal too, she was so hysterical, I feel so bad for her.  She is the sweetest thing too.

But then sometimes things happen that aren't bad at all, case in point... I called the duck to see if he was free for lunch and he was!  Panera Bread is a great place to go, it has the calories posted right next to the price on all items and the food is great.  They have a nice soup and half sandwich or salad deal that is low cal and fresh and delicious.

You asked me if Dr. Wacks lowered any of my meds this time.  No, in a word.  I am taking very little besides my supplements already, very low blood pressure med, very low cholesterol med, vit b12, vit d, calcium,  and zoloft which I am not ready to lose yet, oh, and the aromasin which goes away in October, that will be 5 years since the breast cancer.  Oh, and Osteo-Bi Flex 7 day for my knees which I will not ever give up.  That stuff works y'all.  (Thanks again Patti!)  I took the brand Move Free for years and it stopped working so the Osteo-Bi Flex was such a blessing!

I read about something called "refrigerator oatmeal".  Since I love oatmeal and I also love cold foods I tried it.  It was wonderful!  You just take your oatmeal (instant or quick oats), add milk or water, stir, refrigerate all night.  Morning comes, stir and eat.  It was so good.  I had the high fiber pouch and added only 1/2 cup of 1% milk, nothing else.  I'll do that again soon I know.  You could certainly add fruit in the morning too.  If you work you could just grab it and take it with you in a small container with a lid.

So I guess I've kept you long enough today.  Have a lovely day, I sure will too...

  1. You are doing so great, I bet Dr Wacks is pleased.

Love all the solid gold plastic ships, what a hoot ! your so fuuny Bee !

I told a friend about the refrigerator oatmeal. Her husband doesn't like oatmeal and she is always trying to find ways to get him to eat it besides muffins.
My daughter told me about when she gets to the bottom of her peanut butter jar she makes the oatmeal in that jar with the left over bits of peanut butter. I tried it and it is so good, I love it. You might try this when you finish that new jar of peanut butter you just bought.

I hope your friends dog is OK.

    Have fun today !
    cheers, parsnip

  2. Oh, I love that peanut butter jar idea! I will definitely try with fruit. I saw an oatmeal in a jar with yogurt and berries that looked yummy! I'll have to try that now that you say it is good!

Did you know that the lid from Parmesan Cheese fits perfectly on any canning jar? Oh, I do love Pinterest!

Have a lovely day! big hugs xoxo

  9. I love when restaurants post the calories on the menus. It is a requirement of any chain in NYC and it really makes you think before you order something.

My husband and I went to the movies the other day (Pre-batman) and they had the calories of the popcorn, etc posted on the price boards. 900 calories of popcorn for $8. Thanks but no thanks!

  10. I hope the ladies dog gets better. We can become so attached to our babies.

I'll have to tell hubby about the Osteo-Bi Flex 7. He's got some bad knees from running all those years. So bad he can't run anymore and he so loves to run. Don't ask me as I don't know what's wrong with him. Bwahahahahaha.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

  11. Never heard of refrigerator oatmeal, but I will try it. I like oatmeal, but don't like making it in the morning. This will make it easy. Sorry to hear about the sick dog; they really are family members and it is so upsetting when they are not well.

  14. Hi Bee. I'm back with being only one day out of the computer. Monday my modem burned out and they said it might take until Monday to get the new one. Well guess what? I received the new one today and after a few problems and some help from the tech guy, I'm back and ready to go.
After looking at your many solid gold plastic ships on a stick I looked at my ONE plastic ship and do I ever feel silly. Maybe if I work hard on this new cruise I might try to get my second one. Ha,ha,ha.
Well, it's been so good writing again in my computer especially writing to you my wonderful friend. See you later.

  15. Keep up with that oatmeal and you'll probably wave good bye to that cholesterol medication soon, too!

Maybe I should give the osteo supplement a spin.
