Tuesday is poker! and other stuff...

This is last night's sunset.  I was sitting on the balcony watching it and listening to the life around me.  The sounds of birds and cars and just outside stuff.

Today is canasta and poker tonight.  Between the two I won't be able to have the time to get in the pool but that's okay, I've been doing it most every day so a day off is okay.  I have still been doing water jogging for 30 minutes.  I am so surprised that I can do this.  I started doing 10 minutes a few weeks ago.

Yesterday I broke down and had a diet coke.  I hadn't had one is a good while and it was SO good.  I'll try not to have any more for a while though.  I've just been drinking water and coffee in the morning.

I also hit 220 sticks of butter.  I'm sure I could not even lift 220 sticks of butter but I was dragging it around everywhere I went for a long time.  It feels really good not to be doing it any more.  I'm not sure how much further I need to go, I'll let Dr. Wacks tell me that.  But a ways I'm sure.  My blood work is so awesome now too.

I am only taking 1/5 of the meds I was taking and hope to be off all of it soon.  Well except the Osteo Bi-Flex.  You'd have to tie me up to get that away from me.  No knee pain any more with that one.  (Thanks for that tip Patti!)  And the baby aspirin, I take that too.  And vitamin B12 and D.  Oh, and calcium.  And fish oil.  Man, that's still a lot, isn't it?  Buggers.

So my friends, that's it from paradise for today.  Make your day totally tits, I will too...

  1. That's not a bad list, really. Vitamins and fish oil are a must for me, too!
Started taking probiotics - think they're helping, too.
I thought about you yesterday. It was a rough day all around as my son-in-law had his second year without Robby.
I'm still following behind you picking up all those sticks of butter you're losing, darn it.

  3. No wonder you're full and losing sticks of butter... all those Vitamins are filling you up!

My Osteo Bi-flex would work much better if I remembered to take it everyday. It tastes like a Catholic Mass smells, but I take it anyway. My sister Lynda (the RN) told me her Vitamin D levels were very low and that I should start taking Vitamin D, too.

So, OK... I've added baby aspirin and Vitamin D to my shopping list.

Have a kick butt day at Poker! Big hugs xoxo

  6. You have found the formula that inspires us to stick to our veggies and protein. I should try pool exercises. Walking is so easy, I'm in a rut.

  7. good morning, Empress!!!

I am very proud of you for losing all that butter. I hope to do the same someday.

I had to zero out my reader after returning from vacation, so I do hope you had a lovely few weeks. Guessing Fathers day was a tough one. But that's ok, no one said life was easy. Just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you and sending you good vibes and prayers and hugs.

    Beautiful picture, too! BTW.

  8. I'll repeat it again Bee, when we see each other again, I will not be able to know you. I'll have to ask people where you're at and you'll be probably right next to me. Ha,ha,ha.
Today and tomorrow is going to be in the middle 90's and Wednesday I'll be golfing. One has to break, my game or me.
Have a great day playing your card games. Make some money my gorgeous friend. See you.

  12. I'm so happy that you've stuck you your diet. You've done so very well too. You look fabulous.

I don't think you are taking very much medicine. Only stuff that older folks need to take. I think it rocks. I take way more than you do.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

  17. Those aren't medicines...those are supplements to your nutritional plan. Besides, you wouldn't be half as entertaining without all that fish oil. I love the posts when you think you've had too much! Think of the diet coke as poison and maybe that'll help. It is, you know. Poison.
