Last day of hurricane season!  This is always a happy day here. The sun is shining, it's warm and lovely and almost time to go get beat up by Andre'. Have a great day. I will too plus I'll tell you about my dinner date tonight.

I got free tickets to see The MacCartney Years at the Kravitz Center last night and the duck had a date so he couldn't go so Kyle went with me. It was just an "ok" concert but we had a good time. 

This upcoming week is crammed full, the calendar is exploding but I'll get it all done. Starting with Andre' Monday morning. 

And I might have a dinner date Monday evening. Well I do but I have had so many frogs I'm afraid I'll never find a prince so I don't have high hopes any longer. I'll just take it as it comes and hope for the best. You wouldn't think it would be so hard to find a decent nice guy but it really is. At least for me it has been. Wish me luck!

They are mighty busy working on it on this balmy beautiful day!

West Palm Beach's Christmas tree is well on the way to completion again this year. I just live our downtown area. It's small enough to be easy to get to everything but yet big enough to be pretty spectacular. I feel very lucky to live here. 

Nothing going on this weekend much but I'll manage to fit in some fun somewhere. Hope you do too.

It was a lovely Thanksgiving at the Fern House. The food is always good. Their chef is so dedicated I'm having him cater my New Year's Eve party here at the condo. I have the menu all planned but right now I'm too full to talk about it!

Now I'm teaching Kyle hair. Don't tell him I said so but he's not very good at it. Yet. But I'm going to keep trying as I think it's a skill he should have among all his other talents including tax law. Don't you think? I mean he's great at nails now. 

Today I'll make my pies and get my hair done for real.

So I worked with Andre' inside. The pool is an easier workout and works you just as good but it wasn't warm enough. 

This is a slow week for me because there are no games. And it's not warm enough for the pool. Guess that leaves shopping. Well somebody has  to do it I guess.

Pedicure time again. How lovely to have this done and he does a fabulous job if it. 

I have Andre' in the morning and it's supposed to only be a high of 73 so I'm not looking forward to the pool. I sure will be glad when our gym equipment is here for days like that but for now we are outside working. 

I had a great time with the duck at lunch. We talked about my party and the food for New Years Eve.

I got to see Kyle last night and we had some good belly laughs. Then tomorrow is my lunch with the duck. 

Steve and Jane came today do my apartment is amazingly clean again. They do such a great job. 

I am baking pies for Fern House for Thanksgiving. They want Key Lime. Seems odd but it's Florida so whatever they want they get.

Roche' and the boyfriends wanted me to tell you they have been partying and they need naps. Aspirin and naps. I told them they'd be sorry but nnnooooo. They didn't listen to me. 

My car turned 13,000 miles today. It was six years old last month. It looks new and with the low mileage I just can't justify trading it although I'd really love a sports car.  I just can't talk myself into it.

So I went to the pool and exercised. The wind is blowing so hard it was quite a workout. It's sunny and warm but very gusty. 

I'm working on my New Year's Eve party again. I'm getting the Fern House to cater it for me. Win/Win, right?

I think we are getting some gym equipment for the little card room downstairs. I have been pushing for it for some time now and I think I finally made it happen. That way now if the weather is bad I can still work with Andre'. I think having it as an amenity for the building is a very good thing too.

I got my regular chores done and tested in the afternoon for a bit. 

You know before you know it Thanksgiving will be upon us. I'm going to the Fern House to have dinner with the duck.

This is what took six months. Can you imagine?  I mean the hallways look okay but certainly not exquisite. And the lower floors aren't even finished yet. Well it's a huge improvement so I'll just shut up. 

Monday means Andre' and hopefully it will not be raining so we can do some of the workout in the pool. The weekend was a bust as far as weather goes. Dreary and misty rain. 

I did get chores done so that was good anyway but I miss my pool!

Sorry for not posting. The weather has been dreary and I've been depressed. Kyle was over last night and did my pedicure. This is not s new photo. Sorry I forgot to take one. 

The duck is away at a Dead concert in NC so no lunch with him today. I'm going to Publix later and doing chores. That's about it from my world. Tomorrow will be better. I swear!

This Friday night has me home with nothing to do but play on the computer. I'm tired. Andre worked me hard and then I went to lunch with Ryan and his house guests. We then took them on a tour around town and it was nearly 5:00 when we got home. I got my nightgown on by 5:30. 

Sometimes you just have to have an early night!

My roses are still lovely. I carefully trim the stems and change the water every other day. They look so beautiful on the dining room table. 

So I lost five dollars in canasta yesterday. Buggers to that. 

Today I have andre' again and I really do look forward to the workouts. I always feel so much better afterwards.

Oh my gosh it's been beautiful here!  And tonight the mayor (of the pool) brought me hamburgers for dinner. He outdid himself too, they were the best ever. I only ate one of mine so I have another for tomorrow. How lucky am I?

I didn't win at Mahjong today but tomorrow is canasta so I have another chance. 

The carpet is going in now on my floor so my hallway is almost complete. Finally!  It's been months. If the painters were any slower their paint would dry up on their brushes.

The boys found the clickers and all night long they played with them. One of them makes my bed go up and down and they had so much fun with that while I was sleeping. 

I took the duck to dinner for his birthday and gave him his gift. (Cash for his trip next weekend to a Grateful Dead concert). We had a lovely dinner really. 

Tomorrow I have Mahjong so I won't be in the pool. Have a great Wednesday y'all. I will too for sure.

Roche' and the boys are staying with me for a bit. They decided I needed company at night and didn't want me to be lonely. 

Today is the duck's birthday so I am taking him out to dinner. He did me a big favor this week and I want his birthday to be very special.

This is where I will be with Andre in the morning. Trying to get my fat a$$ back in some semblance of shape. One good thing about a few extra pounds though is that they do tend to fill out the wrinkles in my a$$. Remember the day I discovered those?  Yeah. Me too.

My roses are really opening nicely.   So I had a date Saturday evening with a guy I had gone out with once before. He's 63, tall, handsome, blonde with blue eyes. We went to dinner and talked. He was a pretty good kisser but that's all we did. Just a few kisses. It was very nice. 

Hopefully the duck will be well enough to go to lunch. Remember we missed last week because of him being sick.

Guess who is getting her toenails done?  Turnabout is fair play, right?  He did a danged fine job too. 

So Andre' will be beating me up and trying his best to make me healthy. After that I don't have much to do except to get ready for Friday night date night. Not sure where we are going yet but I want to eat healthy so perhaps some broiled fish somewhere.

I had a perfectly lovely birthday and celebrated with so many wonderful friends. First the ladies lunch and mahjong and then the party where the people were charming and the food was great and I was truly surrounded by true friends. 

TCD came but late as he had a patient with a problem but he was very sweet and gave me a lovely gift and even held my hand a bit. Progress. Slow but sure. 

I received many wonderful gifts and had a great time. The last birthday party was nineteen years ago and I gave that one myself. 

And yes, Kyle made me a cake!

Roche' has been sleeping with his boyfriend, RSM (red sock monkey) lately. I went upstairs to visit him today and he said he wasn't ready to come home yet. 

Tomorrow my Mahjong girls are taking me to lunch and then Kyle and Ryan are having the "surprise" party at night. The guest list has grown a good bit and it really sounds like fun. The duck is still sick so I doubt he'll make it but TCD will be there.  And there will be karaoke.

Today I am having my floors professionally cleaned. They were put down in 2000 and the grout needs attention. Steve and Jane steam them but they still need more. I can't be home so I'll be at the pool. 

Last night Kyle painted my toes and did a danged fine job of it!

The pool was fabulous and there were lots of my friends there. Very nice time.

Well we are off daylight savings time. That means it will be dark so early I'll want to go to bed at 7:00. Why do we do this twice a year? 

It's Sunday morning and the duck just called me. He still has bronchitis and I don't want to be around that so we canceled our lunch.
