We're in the final days before school starts and all the children are at the bus stops in their new clothes with their books and papers and it's exciting I know. I remember that first week of school and all the fun and anticipation. And also the sadness of summer coming to a close.
But then there is my life where it is still definitely summer and I do love that. Andre' beat me up pretty good yesterday too but that pool sure did feel good.
I think the duck finally bought a house. His contract was accepted but now he has his inspection period to get through. I haven't seen it but the photos look nice, it's a townhouse.

School started last week in my neck of the woods. One of our former neighbors stopped by yesterday afternoon to visit. He's a senior, just turned 18 and has already enlisted in the Navy. That boy is one fine young man. Straight A student, too. We need more kids like this one!

Let's see... in my world this week... My parents come home Saturday so I have to do a bit of shopping to have some stuff in the house they parents like so they won't have to get home and go right out shopping. Al & I are driving to Mickey Mouse World Monday. My sister Lynda, favorite bil and one of their sons and his family are doing a week with the Mouse. We're just spending one night with them and bringing bunches of water, some wine and gatorade. We're just doing pool side... No parks!

School has started here, too. I think it is too early but since I don't have young children any more, it really doesn't affect me. But yes, it is still summer. Enjoy that pool! Best of luck to the Duck as he goes through the waiting/inspection time.
