Antigua

The Costa Mediterranea is next to us. This is the ship Sarge and I did our first transatlantic on and it was a lovely ship.

Pulling into Antigua now. It looks like my balcony view will be the ship next to us.

This is a snapshot of the photo delivered to us last night. Plus fresh fruit and wine and some other gifts.

Tonight we are dining at Cucina, the Italian restaurant on the hotel director. Life is good. Very good indeed. My world rocks!

  2. I have never cruised, so forgive the stupid question in advance.... but how do you know the names of the ships you port next to, or pass or see at the docks? Are they labeled? Or do they announce who is nearby. Just curious. I always am amazed at the amount of cruise knowledge you have amassed. :)

    1. LAC, the ship names are painted prominently on the bow. If you cruise enough you can recognize the specific cruise lines, (Royal Caribbean, Carnival, etc.) from a distance by their distinctive features. Such as all Carnival ships have whale tail funnels, and Disney and HAL ships have dark hulls instead of white ones.
