This was what I saw when I woke up day before yesterday. Fog so thick you couldn't see the ground. It didn't last long but it's interesting when you are high up and it rolls in I think.
I also woke up with a stinking cold. I have to get well before Friday! I am taking lots of stuff and taking good care of myself and it seems to be getting better already. I have soup, juice, Zicam, cold medicine, cough syrup, anything I might need because I always keep stuff like this in the house in case I might need it. When you live alone you have to plan for things because there isn't anyone to go fetch for you. Well I take that back, the (self appointed) mayor (of the pool) did ask if he could get me anything but I'm fine and I really appreciate him and his bride.
You know we stay well all summer and then the snowbirds bring us all these germs every year. I try so hard to keep my hands washed all the time and stay away from elevator buttons and doorknobs and stuff like that. I even clean my shopping cart in the grocery store. But still, I got sick. Rats.
Have a great day y'all. I'll try to too. I have a Mahjong game but not sure if I should go or not yet. They are five so if I can't go they'll still be okay.
Cool fog! I follow Fox 13's Paul Dellegato out of Tampa on my facebook page and he had a couple of really cool photos of the fog that enveloped Dallas and shut down their flight operations yesterday. Surreal.
ReplyDeleteBugger to the cold. I hd one right after my oral surgery, the week before Thanksgiving. Zicam and DayQuil and it was knocked out in 3 days. I know they say to be careful how much Zinc you consume but it works and I use it when I need it. Hard to argue with that, I say.
And with cats plus people germs plus CATS!! I have hand sanitizer at every sink, in my pocketbook and in the car. I buy the industrial size refill at Sam's. srsly. hahahaha! And I just bought travel sizes for my parents and Lynda's Christmas stockings again this year. Germophobic? Nope. Just hate sick.
Have yourself a mighty fine day. And me, too. big hugs xoxo
I don't see saline nasal spray on that list! I have been using it since Sarge was cold-free using it and so far, it works! That cold MM had? Sprayed and sanitized and missed it!!! Get some! And get well.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, honey...
I was just thinking yesterday that I could get something to have in the house in case I get the flu or a cold. Thanks for the reminder that I need to do that. Get well, Bee!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you can kick that cold to the curb pronto! I, too, have learned to keep some things on hand although I am blessed with friends who would help me if I needed it. Rest and feel better!
ReplyDeleteI eat garlic everyday and it helps me from getting sick. You know that maybe that's why people are staying away from me. Now I know why my sex life has gone the tubes. At least I'm not sick. Ha,ha,ha.
ReplyDeleteYes Bee, you better get well for your weekend with your dentist friend. Have a wonderful healthier day my wonderful friend. See ya.
Paul
PS I look at that photo that you sent to me that Charlie use to give me every Christmas. I showed it to Mary Lou. She loved the " DITTO " idea. See ya.
Bee, I sure hope you are better by Friday. I know what you mean about trying your best to stay well. Me too. I am always washing my hands...especially after being out of the house. Those grocery cart are plain nasty...they have some wipes at the door of our local store and Walmart also. I try to wear my gloves in the stores. . Take care. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteWe get that kind of fog here. Especially after it rains for a bit. Just socked in. Sometimes if it's a wet year you won't seen the sun here for a couple of months. Just fog 24/7. It's been some years since we've had that kind of fog but when we do it's very depressing.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're sick. I hope you're well by Friday and your date with the dentist. I mean that cute dentist.
Have a fabulous day honey. Big healing hugs to you and my very best to Roche. I hope he doesn't get sick. He's such a drama queen. ♥♥♥
Very cool photo Miss Bee. We had that same Sea Fog here (in Northern FL) for nearly a week.
ReplyDeleteSorry you've come down with a cold. I hope you are feeling better. You're right when you're by yourself you do have to be prepared. Even when you're with someone who is incapacitated you have to be prepared.
Being sick sucks. Period. Slept all day. feeling better. Just hoping the cough goes away.
ReplyDeleteBeing that high up and not being able to see would give me the iggies. I'd have to close the curtains until the sky lifted back up where it belongs, LOL.
