Today shall find me in the card room at the club after a nice lunch with some gal pals first.  No swimming for me today but it is supposed to rain anyway.  I hope it doesn't but it's the rainy season so it is what it is.  At least it doesn't usually rain too long.

I got my hair colored yesterday but she won't use Wen so I had to come home and redo it because it felt like straw to me.  I just can't stand shampoo any more.  It makes my hair feel awful.  I like the color but not the feel of it.

A week and a half until cruise time.  I am really looking forward to spending some time with the duck.  I know I get to see him on Sundays but it's rushed and he is always so busy these days, it will be really good to see him relax for a few days and just kick back.  He's such a great cruise buddy too.  He is up for about anything and is a great "wingman"! lol  It's funny too, when he is ready to sleep before he is all the way laying down he is sound asleep.  No insomnia there boy!  But we stay up late and get up early, we don't want to miss anything.

I did my pedicure already too.  You know you have to go through a toe inspection to get on the ship, right?  Because ugly toes are not allowed.  They do allow lots of things but not ugly toes.

I wonder what a toe inspector makes an hour.  Probably about the same as those people that xray luggage.  How boring is that?  Sarge had a pacemaker so he couldn't go through that thing they make you walk through.  He always had to get patted down.  He always asked for a female to do it.  He never got it either.

Guess that's about all I have in my brain today y'all.  Hope your Thursday is totally tits.  Mine will be for sure!

  1. Nobody likes tugly toes. But especially not on a lovely cruise. I am a lot like Chuck... sleep takes me quickly. Last night on the phone with my sister Janice last night:

Janice: "You know how wonderful it feels when you first fall asleep? That first few minutes?"

Me: "Umm... no. Because I'm asleep."

And that's all I have in my brain this morning. ;)

    big hugs xoxo

  2. I about rocked myself out in the yard this evening. It was nice and breezy and I was so sleepy.
    But at night? Furgeddaboutit!
Now that the countdown is officially on, the days will go by slowly...
    Happy, happy Thursday!

  3. I had to quit coloring my hair because of the way it felt, and after a month or two it was back to feeling healthy again.

Can you tell I've never been on a cruise? I can't decide if you're kidding or not about the pedicure inspector. Either way, that's a hoot.

  5. Wingman Oh my goodness. Ha,ha,ha. You two will have a wonderful time on your cruise, I know that already. You have to get Chuck to rest more and smell the roses or whatever. Life is but a moment, we have to enjoy it as much as we can. I've learn abut that from a friend, you know who I mean. LOL Have a great day my gorgeous friend. See ya.

  6. Bee, That is something to look forward to, your cruise with your son. I hope you both have a blast, I know you will. LOL. Just your average day is some times so nice. Getting with friends for lunch then cards later...sounds fun. Blessings for a great day, xoxo,Susie

  7. Love Sarge's request for a female screener at the airport. Hubby Ken asked his nurse if she would give him a sponge bath and she replied, "Nice try, but this is a 15 minute outpatient procedure!"

  8. I don't have a clue what Wen is but you sure seem to love it and that's all that matters. It also looks like you are pretty much ready to cruise. Good for you.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. Is he going on the cruise or staying with a friend? ♥♥♥

  9. Cruise countdown mode...check. Mine is too far off--November, so I am not there yet on the countdown. Bugger.

    Big hugs, honey...

  10. I will never be able to cruise--I'd never pass toe inspection, although my crooked toes and nails are painted a lovely mauve shade.

  11. Bee, we're expecting a toe pic so you can pass inspection here, too. Your son does such an important job, so it's great he gets to relax for a few days with you. I do an important job, too. Maybe you could adopt me even though I'm pretty sure I'm older than you!

  12. I'm annoyed that your hair dresser won't use your wen on you when you go and then you have to re-wash your hair afterwards. You pay to have it styled so she should use whatever you want. I've seen people bring their own shampoo into the salon. Maybe Dr. Wax can give you a Doctor's note saying you're allergic to anything else or better yet, ask my mom to write you a note, she was really good at that when I was a kid!
