Life is good, you know?  We had some major storms roll through last night but they can't put a damper on my spirits.  Since I was safe inside I actually enjoyed watching them, the lightening and the rolling clouds.  Nature is amazing but sometimes so violent.

I won about ten bucks yesterday at canasta.  Five in the kitty and five in the end.  Pretty good day considering the week's losses I have chalked up so far, huh?  It was a nice game too.  Nice gals.

Tonight I am going out to dinner with two of my gal pals.  We go once in a while, not too often, usually we go to lunch but this time we are going to dinner.  That's good because sometimes Friday evenings are hard for me lately so I am glad to be doing something.

Andre' is going to beat me up this morning and then I am going to swim and maybe a short nap and shower for sure before I go out so it's a pretty busy day.  But fun.  Hope yours is too!

  1. I remember er those long Friday nights. Glad you're going to be with friends...I've been watching some of the live webcams from Hawaii. Looks like they're getting it now, but worse by Saturday. I love to watch storms but not like these and the damage they cause.
    Have a good day...

  2. If I do nothing else today I have to run out to get my glasses repaired. I noticed yesterday that one of the screws is loose or missing or something. I can't see so I can't be sure. But off I shall go. No seeing, no doing ANYthing. If I had been born in an earlier era. before today's options, I would be totally at the mercy and kindness of family and friends with my horrible vision.

And hopefully, I'll make a dollar. So, not a bunch of exciting things but it is what it is.

Enjoy you gal pal dinner! big hugs xoxo

  3. Every time I read about you going swimming I know I'm right to hold out for a condo community (to move to) that has a pool. I was a fish when I was a kid.

I like storms, too, except for tornadoes.

    Have fun at dinner tonight!

  6. Congratulations on the money win yesterday and even better is the dinner tonight with the gals. I bet you would enjoy it more if your dentist friend was to be taking you out for dinner instead of the girls. Right??????????
Storms, I enjoy them as long as they aren't damaging ones.Thunder, lightning and rain don't bother me. Have a wonderful day my wonderful friend. See ya.

  9. hi Bee, It's good to go out on the weekend. Some times we get into little ruts of our own making. Ted and I are hardly ever go out at night . So when we do go anywhere, it's a nice break. That is one reason I love the cruise ships. It's safe to go out of an evening on them and there's plenty to do. Have a fun day and evening. xoxo, Susie

  11. When I lived in the tower I loved watching the storms roll through. Despite raucous thunder and lightning, there is a peacefulness and serenity about storms. It's like watching a temper tantrum, then appreciating the calm following the event.

    Have fun tonight!

  13. Bee, I always love your pool photos! I go to our clubhouse pool almost every day, but go at night as I am very wary of the sun. I do get sufficient sunlight during my running around, but am leery of laying out during the day, altho i would love to LOL. So, the night swimming eliminates the need to slather myself with sunscreen :) BUT, the reason for this post is to ask you what sunscreen do you find yourself liking and could recommend? I'd just be buying it from the drugstore, but any suggestions would be appreciated. The Florida sunniness compares to what we get here in AZ, so that's why I'm asking. Thanks for everything. I love your posts, and reading about your daily exploits! -- Luna

  14. I hope you didn't get all this as a duplicate; i typed a comment, then when it had me log in, it deleted my comment (sigh).
Well, I love your posts about the pool. I use mine at the clubhouse about every other night, as I am leery of too much sun (wrinkles) so i swim at night. The AZ sunniness is about the same as you get in FL, so I'd like to ask what brand of sunscreens do you use/recommend? I would do more at the pool in the day if i could find a good one. I will be shopping at the drugstore, so can you recommend one? You are out there a lot, and your tan looks good, so you are using something good! Thanks so much -- Luna
