Well for starters yesterday did not go as planned.  Let's just say I am probably now allergic to clams as well as lobster and I had many issues overnight, none of which I want to discuss.  That being said I did not see Andre', did not swim, and did not eat nutrisystem food so it was the second my way day.  A day of toast and tea.

Onward and upward as I am feeling better now.  I spoke to Dr. Wacks and he said he's going to allergy test me next time I'm in which is in about a month but not to use an epi pen, just avoid the seafood for now.

Today I have canasta again and hope to have some laughs with the gals.  There are big changes going on in the club now as they ready themselves for the resort.  Lots of dirt moving down there and stuff being done.  Hopefully the club will remain open for a bit longer but no promises at this time.

So yesterday we finally got a Trader Joe's open with another to open soon.  I haven't been yet but will go soon.  I have waited a long time to get one near me.

So that, my dears, is what is in my head today.  I hope you have a fabulous weekend and me too...

  1. I am sorry to hear you were feeling so sick. Happy to know your better now.
I like Traders Joe's but I have learned after all these years what is good and what I really don't like.
Son when to TJ's today and brought me a bouquet of the most beautiful Hyacinths.

    Stay well.

  2. So sorry about your new-found allergy issues. I discovered I was allergic to shellfish when I was in my early 20s. My reaction is primarily facial swelling but (so far) I've not had any respiratory issues requiring epinephrine. Abstinence is best for me but when I just can't stand not having sea scallops when I'm in New England I take some benadryl an hour before I plan to eat them. :) My sister Janice has to keep several epi pens, for herself and for Tommy. Tommy has had several life-threatening reactions.

We don't have much good stuff here in Hicksville... No Trader Joes. No Macaroni Grill. No Bed Bath and Beyond. No Panera Bread... the list is surprisingly endless...

I hope you have a much better day today. big hugs xoxo

  4. Sorry to hear about the situation with seafood. I hope that things will be taken care of and you'll be back to yourself. What's going on at your club and expalin what a Trader Joe's is? I've never heard about it. I'm not sure if we have one in Canada. Relax and get well. See ya my wonderful friend.

  5. We've got a gal in our yacht club that's allergic to shellfish. She paints a dire picture of what it's like. I can pretty much tell what happened to you. I'm glad you're going to get tested.

Have a much better day today. Take it easy and rest and you'll feel even better tomorrow.

Have a fabulous healthy day. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  8. Bee, Sorry to read that you were sick and not feeling well. Take care of yourself. You know we are not born with allergies, we develop them. Things that would never bother you may cause reactions as you age. It's a good idea to get tested by your Dr. , he seems to be a very good Dr. Wishing you better health, xoxo,Susie
