Nutrisystem day 2, it's going fine so far.  I get the food in the above photo plus a yogurt, a cheese wedge (Laughing Cow), and salad and brussels sprouts.  Actually all the non starchy veggies I want.  I have not been hungry so far and the food is okay.  That lunch - loaded baked potato - was actually really good.  I am also down four pounds but remember the weight I gained on the cruise so it's really that weight I am losing.

Today's word of the day is "ad hominem".  It means: 1. appealing to one's prejudices, emotions, or special interests rather than to one's intellect or reason. 2. attacking an opponent's character rather than answering his argument.  I'm still not sure what it means but you know me, I'll put it in a sentence anyway.  The politician was giving a long winded speech and his opponent was ad hominem-ing him whilst talking about his frippery jacket and eating yellow cake with no frosting.

Poker didn't go too well last night and that's all I'm going to say about that.

No games today and it's supposed to rain so I'll have to find something to get into.  No fear, I'll find something to keep me out of trouble and if the rain lets up I will go to the pool.

And that's it from paradise today y'all.  Have a wonderful Prince Spaghetti Day.  I will too, I just won't be having any...

  1. For lunch I had an awesome salad with chicken breast and strawberries I had leftover from the dinner I made for Mother's Day. Actually, I still have more leftovers so I'll have the same today. And I still have a bit of leftover mashed sweet potato and steamed broccoli and steamed mixed veggies... so maybe that for supper to use it all up.

I discovered yesterday that I've apparently lost my wonderful Carnival dude when his replacement called me. Bugger. Sorry about poker. And rain. I think it may rain here, too.

Maybe it will rain lots of lovely orders! That would be lovely.

    big hugs xoxo

  2. Bee, It looks as if you can have some pasta. If you have lost 4 pounds , it is working ! You are so good. Do you think back to before you lost your weight and starting truly working out...just how far you have come? You are amazing. You'll find something to do today...I don't see you just napping. :):) xoxox,Susie

  3. You will definitely have an interesting day, no matter what.

    Big hugs, honey...

  4. I think you should write your own book of words and definition sentences Bee. Sorry about poker but try yatzee. Ha,ha,ha. Sorry about that. I'm still feeling weird. That's two days in a row. I think I need a cruise.
Have a great day my gorgeous friend and enjoy your Nutrisystem. See ya...

  5. You could have done better with that word of the day. I know you could. You were thinking it, but you didn't put it down. Bwahahahahahahahaha.

Way to go on the diet. It sure doesn't look all that appealing, but I guess most diet food doesn't.

Have a fabulous day. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  6. I love brussels sprouts! They are yummy!
I'm with Sandee on your word of the day. LOL! I got the implied version ;)
