This is Brad McKee.  He sailed with us last month and went into the piano bar every night.  Sadly he was found dead in his home this week.  He was a diamond cruiser with Carnival and belonged to several groups that I belong to.  Treasure each day my friends.  Seriously.  Don't let a single day go by that you didn't appreciate and take to it's fullest.  He usually wore a cowboy hat and was quite the character.

Today I get to be beat up improved by Andre' and then I get to go back to the tax preparers to see why the stupid IRS thinks I'm dead.  Several of you thought I should let them think it and I tend to agree but probably won't.   My opinion of them is that they are total incompetents. Hopefully I'll be done in time to hit the pool after all that.  It's supposed to be warm and sunny again.  And you know how much I love that!

The card room is much emptier already.  Lots of snowbirds flocking north.  Oh, and I was losing 8 bucks yesterday up until the end of the day and then I won big and ended up winning eighty cents.  Five hours work for eighty cents.  Too funny.  But it's still better than a loss.

Gosh one month until cruise time again.  I am a bit sad because the duck was not able to go as planned and he is the one that chose this particular cruise.  He is as busy as a stump tailed cow in fly season.

So have yourself a perfectly lovely Friday.  I will too, for sure...

  1. Wow, I am so sorry to hear of this man's sudden passing! Life is transient and fragile. I will say it now: "I love you, Miss Bee!"
After dealing with the IRS you'll probably need to work off some steam in the pool! Hopefully, you'll get it ironed out quickly. Did I really say the words IRS and quickly in one sentence? Hahahahaha!
----- I'm so glad to see the friendly Curmudgeon commenting! I love his dry humor.

  3. I honestly do try to remind myself every morning to LIVE each day because not one of us knows the day or the hour. Tell my sisterdears and parents and friends and family and kitties I love them and appreciate them. Have fun. Do something nice. Say something nice. Or at the very least, because somethimes it's so much harder, resist saying something not so nice. ;)

eighty cents. five hours of fun. that's hard to beat right there!

have a lovely day, my friend. big hugs xoxo

  4. My condolences Bee of the loss of your cruise friend. It's amazing how one day they are there nd the next day they're gone.
QUESTION what the heck does this mean? "He is as busy as a stump tailed cow in fly season".
    Maybe it's because I'm Canadian. Ha,ha,ha.
Cruise again, how lucky. Sorry to hear that the Duck and join you. Ah, I'm available. Ha,ha,ha.
Have a great day my beautiful exciting friend. See ya.

  5. I am so sorry to hear of your friend's passing. You are so right about treasuring each day. It is important to people how special they are to you, too.
I hope you have a great day, managing to convince the IRS that you are not dead (!) and enjoying that warm pool. And have a fun weekend. Hugs to you!

  8. I'm sorry about your friend honey. I treasure each day as you do because we understand each day is a gift. Yes it is.

Paul had me laughing out loud with him no understanding He is as busy as a stump tailed cow in fly season. Hubby and I laughed out loud and knew exactly what that means. I think we are a bit southern.

I hope you can breeze through the IRS mess quickly. I agree with your assessment of the IRS too.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. :)

  12. So sorry for your loss, Miz Bee. I will say a prayer for his friends and family. Each moment is a gift. And to use a cliche, that's why they call it the present. I downloaded my finished return from the CPA today and got a smile. I totally get that we have to pay something, but I get happy when I don 't have to fork over more. And this year I didn't.

  13. I sooo enjoyed visiting with Brad on the cruise last month. I looked forward to cruising with him again. Sadly, that won't happen. And he was only 54. What a loss. As you say, treasure each and every day...and person.

    Love and hugs, honey...
