I thought I'd let you look at the duck today.  We had a nice time at the fundraiser yesterday but the speaker went really long.  She was a great speaker but everyone was getting antsy and they wanted to raise more money with a live auction and people were starting to leave.

I didn't win any of my bids on the silent auction although there were quite a few I bid on and wanted to win including a Prada handbag and a day as sheriff of Palm Beach County.  There were some really really nice items.

So then we went to Publix and the carwash and that was my day.  I ate too much but will not do so today.  One day won't hurt me.  I hope.  They had white chocolate cheesecake for dessert although the meal was a nice low cal chicken plate and it was delicious.  Still, I ate the cheesecake too.  And a roll.  It was catered by The Breakers and the food was wonderful.

Today will find me at the pool, it's supposed to be in the low 80's and with no a/c, well, that's where I'll be for sure.  I'll do my chores in the morning and then head down with water and a snack (probably grapes) and several towels and my kindle and sunglasses and sun block and my hat.  And Roche' and my iPhone.  And that's all I've got folks!  Have a great day, you know I will too!

  1. Your day sounds perfect to me. Absolutely and completely. Well, if there was sand between my toes is would be the be-all end-all perfect for me. ahhhh...

So glad you'll have sunblock and a hat! And Roche? Hope he's using sunblock and a hat, too. :)

    big hugs xoxo

  2. Sounds like you have a great day planned! I hope you enjoy it. We missed a big snowstorm, it stayed south. And for once I am actually grateful. I didn't want any of the nasty white stuff to ruin my annual trip to the Philadelphia flower show tomorrow. I cannot wait to take lots and lots of pictures of lots and lots of flowers. :)

  4. First of all, I would have paid to have you as Sheriff for the day. Also, I think it is great to indulge rather than just overdo it on something crappy like a bag of goldfish or something.

  5. The Duck really looks good. I'm glad you both had a great day. I stayed up late watching the Oscars. I really glad that " Let It It be " from Frozen and I love the singer. She's fantastic. Still cold outside. Ha,ha,ha. Two ladies are coming in today to sit and talk about helping AmyLynn. We're trying to figure a way to assist her when the time comes that we won't be here. Well that's it for now my wonderful friend. Have a great day Bee. See ya.

  6. Sheriff with tiara I can picture that, complete with pink holster and gun Bugger. That would have been a sight to see...and fun.

Hey, OCD. You have fun at the pool today and stay outta trouble. Big hugs, honey...

  7. Sorry the speaker was long winded. I hate that too. Sounds like a fun event though.

I was a deputy sheriff for 25 years. It was fun too.

Okay on the pool today. How many trips are you taking to bring all that stuff to the pool? Sounds like a lot to bring. Roche needs to go for sure.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  9. Yes, don't forget Roche'--you wouldn't want him left alone and sweating in the apartment!

  10. Bee, if I can ever retire in this economy, I want to be you. Life is too short to not have cheesecake every once in a while. You'll work it off in no time.
