Cookies have begun to arrive!  Yesterday three boxes came from the cookie scam punishment for not leaving a comment on mandatory comment day.

So the two big boxes are even from someone who DID comment!  And the other one?  I have no idea who to thank for that one.  Please come forward if you sent that.  No information was enclosed, just the cookies.

Y'all are coming through nicely I must say.  You listen so good.

Now to talk about the Andrea Bocelli concert:  Here is what the arena looked like at 8:00, the starting time of the concert.  Remember it was completely sold out.

So where were all the people you ask?  Late, that's where.  They trickled in for the next forty five minutes, disrupting the people sitting there that were on time to move and let them pass.  They were carrying trays of popcorn, beer, pretzels, pizza, hot dogs, you name it.

Can you imagine spending a grand for a couple of seats to pull that stunt?  I can't.  And then when Andrea took his first bow they rushed to get to their cars first not giving him the applause he SO deserved.  Lucky for us we didn't leave because he did four encores.  One better than the next.  Bad behavior abounded.

Oh, and he waved to me and I waved back.  Well he waved to everyone but I was one of them so technically he waved to me.

The duck liked it, loved his voice, not the music as much.  But he went gladly and didn't dislike it.  Me?  I LOVED it.  Every minute of it.  Would I do it again?  Not in an arena but if he was at a venue more suited to it I would go in a heartbeat.

They didn't allow photography during the concert though, sorry.  But there are lots of youtube videos of other concerts if you want to see them there.

Have a great day y'all.  I'll be grocery shopping with the duck.  It's not warm enough to swim today.

  3. COO-KIES!

I would see Andre in any venue. Any time. But I would especially LOVE to see him in Italy! My sister Lynda and bil Rick had FREE tickets to see him in Central Park but didn't because she didn't want to schlep her own umbrella chair. Which weighs about 5 pounds, Less than her pocketbook. Sheesh.

Enjoy your duck day! big hugs xoxo

  5. Glad to hear that the concert went well. Cookies, I forgot since I was on my cruise. I'll have to think about something Bee. Oh, MaryLou wanted me to tell you something. On our cruise she was able to get two red velvet cupcakes for us. They weren't that good, they were dry because they sat out to long. But what I did for Valentines day, I baked a Red Velvet cake with butter creme frosting. Now that cake was fantastic. I saved you a piece but unfortunately I got hungry and and ate it. Sorry. LOL
Have a great day my wonderful & lovely friend.

  6. I want a piece of Paul's cake! Darn him for eating it all! LOL!
I'm glad you enjoyed the concert. I don't understand people nowadays at public venues. They chatter incessantly, arrive late, leave early, cell phones, and general rudeness.
So is OCD taking you to a concert? Have fun shopping today! ;-)

  7. Cookies are good. Well, if you eat too many you won't like the consequences. I'm just saying.

I don't go to event anymore for the very reason you stated here. People are just so rude. Show up on time, turn your phone off, don't talk to each other while they are performing and try not to have to go to the restroom either, People can be such clods.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my best to Roche. :)

  9. Bee, Call me old fashioned...I can't even in my wildest dreams think of snacking with one of our greatest singers on stage. Has our country taken a few steps back in showing good manners? Hope you get another chance to hear him. xoxo,Susie

  10. Of course Andre' was waving at you! You were one of the well behaved ones! Don't even get me started on people who don't know how to behave at concerts. Grrrr. Glad you got the rewards of the 4 encores!
You have a wonderful day, it's beautifully sunny and 55 here and most of the snow in my yard has melted!

  13. I hate it when people arrive late for a concert, it's so damn rude! You made me laugh about Andrea waving to you because it reminded me of when MWM and I were watching the Royal Family driving in open carriages down The Mall on their way to Trooping The Colour and Prince Harry waved to me! ;)

  14. The Georgia cookies were from me. I commented, too. Just wanted to send you something as a nice surprise, hopefully on Valentine's day if I timed it well with my Amazon Prime shipping. I thought you'd get a kick out of the GA tin, aka home aka Podunk. Hope they tasted yummy, too?!
