So it's Monday again. And I am off today! The first day off in quite some time actually. And no, I don't mean off my rocker either, I heard that! Be nice! Ha ha.
It's a tiny bit warmer today but not nearly warm enough for the pool. Around 70°I think. It is quite nice actually but I'd much rather it be hot, more than 80°would be lovely.
So what shall I do today? I will change my bed and do a bit of laundry but that will only take a little while.
There is no mail as it's MLK Day. Not that I get much mail other than junk mail (and the Republican Party wanting money) anyway. It's really a shame just how much junk mail I get. I suppose everyone does but it's just a real shame. I have asked the people that send me catalogues to please stop and that only seemed to make them send me more so that didn't work out too well. I get my bills via email now, most all of them.
Now that the banks don't send us back our cancelled checks what do you suppose they do with them? I imagine a huge pile of them in a big vault spilling down off the pile and onto the floor like water running.
Oh dear, the fish oil seems to have kicked in, sorry.
I got caught up on Downton Abbey last night and I'm not sure yet if I like it this season. I shall reserve judgement for a bit longer.
Roche' wants to play now so I have to go, sorry. He's such a pistol! Have a great Monday. I will too. I have Roche'!
When I looked at my DVR list this morning and saw BOTH Sherlock and Downton Abbey were waiting in my queue it was better than Christmas! I just watched Sherlock and just hit play on Downton Abbey. Coffee is extra delicious this morning!
ReplyDeleteHaving said that, I wasn't thrilled with the first two DA episodes either.
Have a brilliant day off. big hugs xoxo
Oh... and who still writes checks?! hahahaha!!!
ReplyDeleteWe get tons of junk mail but the council provide a paper recycling bin. which they empty every 2 weeks, so it all goes in there. I wish it was 70 degrees here Bee it only about 36 here - very chilly.
ReplyDeleteOh and your apartment looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI really like it when you are over the top with your fish oil. Ha,ha,ha. 70 degrees now that is cold, I'm in the warm area, it's around 15 degrees F and tonight it should be down to around a - 30 degrees. The Arctic low is coming down and it should down as far as Georgia and Florida. Isn't that where you live? I really like the appearance of your place Bee. Very colorful and lively. Perfect for Roche. Well have to go now. I need to turn on my fireplace today just in case. See you my wonderful and lovely friend.
ReplyDeletePaul
Everything is pretty much electronic now so it's a scanned in check if you even write checks anymore. I write very few. Mostly the bank processes my payments for me.
ReplyDeleteRoche is a wonderful buddy. I know he loves that he got to come live at your house.
Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my best to Roche. ♥♥♥
I'm sure that they shred the checks. Very few people even write checks. I write one or two a month and pay everything else online.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day off!
Some days it is good to have a "off" day.
ReplyDeleteYes, Bee you are so funny
cheers, parsnip
You deserve an off day. I am ready for it to warm up here.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, honey...
Yay for a day off! I'm taking a day off too! hahahahaha.
ReplyDeleteI'm with ya on the junk mail. It's a waste. Probably the only thing keeping the post office afloat.
This morning I mistakenly happened upon a site out of Great Britain that talked about Season 5 of Downton Abbey. As a result, I caught a few spoilers about Season 4. Hang in there with it. Sounds like it's going to be good.
The high here tomorrow is suppose to be 10! Can you send some of those extra 60 degrees this way. Heck, even 10 would be fine!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm guessing that the cancelled checks get shredded then recycled. That's what I hope anyway.
