Well yesterday the wind died down a bit but today it is back again.  This photo was from a few days ago but it's this windy, trust me.  I want to spend a good bit of time in the pool anyway since I didn't get to swim yesterday.

So it's Friday and that's my day off as we all know.  I do have some chores to do but not too many.  I love Fridays.  Well basically I love every day but especially Fridays.  And Sundays.  And Thursdays.  Aw shoot, I guess I love them all.

I gained a few pounds on the cruise and they are still with me.  I have to get moving on that now.  Right now.  I will not gain weight.  I have come too far and worked at it too hard to reverse my progress.  I am driven with this.

Sunday is the duck's birthday.  He'll be 43.  I was remembering him as a little towheaded boy in the back yard playing baseball (alone), he'd take off his hat and sing the national anthem, then he'd yell "play ball" and he'd pitch, hit, catch, run the bases, and coach.  He was the whole team.  He was bossy too, it was so funny to watch.

And so my friends here's hoping you have a wonderful Friday.  I will for sure.

  2. awwww.. chuckie as a duckling! It's hard for me to imagine being alone as a child for even a minute... what with living with an entire baseball team when I was growing up!

I've spent the last month trying to get rid of those pounds I gained from Tina's visit. I did it, and then they came back. Agg-ra-vat-ing! But I'm working on it! Again!

Enjoy your day off! big hugs xoxo

  4. The wind here has been crazy. I hope it is done for a while.

Dr. Oz said yesterday that when you are skinnier you burn less calories so don't freak out too much. It will come back off. I'm sure the cruise was worth a couple of pounds.

  5. It's been windy here, too, yesterday leaves were blowing everywhere. I hope you can't enjoy the pool today in spite of the wind. Have a great day and weekend. Hugs!

  7. Bee, Good for you , getting back on track.. Your story of the Duck made me sad, till you wrote that he bossed himself.:):) My grandson loved all ball games, we've played many in the backyard. Maybe Duck needed to be twins. I said that to my daughter about Jacob and she said "hush your mouth mom. " LOL No matter how old Duck gets, he's your baby. We love our babies. xoxo,Susie

  8. Our sons are pretty much the same age. They sure do grow up fast.

I know you love each and every day and you view those days as a precious gift. As do I.

Have a fabulous day off honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  9. I love cruising, but it's murder on my diet. On our 8 day cruise in February I gained 7.8 pounds! It took me 3 weeks to lose what I gained in 1 week. Funny how that works.
