The pool was lovely yesterday.  The heater is working nicely and the air was a balmy 83*.  Just about perfect for everyone.  I think I may be the only one that loves it at 90* but I'll take it lower like today as long as the water is warm enough.

The luncheon with my old boss was really nice too.  He's like my brother, I could tell him anything and he would be there for me always.  It's so nice to have someone like this in your life.  Sometimes months go by with no contact but it doesn't matter.  And he loved Sarge too.  And no, I am not going back to work!  I did love working there though, it was a wonderful position for many years.

Today I'll be at my new Saturday canasta game.  I think I said this before but it bears repeating, it's not my favorite game of the week.  We'll see how long I stick it out.

Hope your day is wonderful.  And that you get to do something fun!  Me too...

  1. I know how you feel. Today it was 77 and lovely. I have my pool heater still on and it really helps. I usual keep the heater on till middle or end of November, so I can keep exercising. Then the weather gets to cold to keep it on. Bummer.
If it is not your favorite game maybe you should let it go. A bad card game can't be that much fun ?

    cheers, parsnip

  2. Ah I would so love to be able to swim every day in an outside pool where it's warm and sunny. How lovely that you get on so well with your ex boss, he must be a very good boss!

  3. My old boss is my best friend... Al! He was my boss for a few years beginning in 1980 until we opened our own business in 1987. He retired in 2006 and we sold the business and moved to Valdosta. Al & Barbara and their entire family and my family are family now. I watched their grandkids and now great-grands grow up. Shoot, he and Barbara forget their great grandchildren's names and I have to help them remember. haha!

I have no idea what we're doing today but it's Tina's last day and it shall be something FUN!

Enjoy your day! big hugs xoxo

  7. That would be a perfect temperature for me. I don't like cold water either so I agree with having the heater on. Just enjoy that pool.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from chilly, but sunny Benicia, CA. :)

  8. Mid-50s here in Portland, ME, today and overcast. Wish the sun was out so the photos would be better. It is what it is. Home tomorrow. Yay.
