I had a lovely day yesterday.  Well I mostly have lovely days but I think yesterday was especially nice.  I got up late (for me) and went to the pool.  Three friends were there, the (self appointed) president, governor, and mayor (of the pool) and we all swam.  I did more than an hour and worked really hard.

I had a nice lunch and dinner, both at home but really good and because of working so hard I had lots of calories to use.  I didn't use them all but did use some.

Today I'll be back there and then at poker tonight.  Several are out this week so we are only seven plus the dealer.  It won't be as good a game as it is when there is ten but I'll still have fun.  I like all the players and we kid around and laugh.  The two snowbird players will be back soon too.

I also got invited to lunch by my old boss.  His said business is good now.  It stunk for a while, it's a real estate law firm in Palm Beach.  I love that things are good now.  It's a great firm and the people are all very nice.  And no, I am NOT going back to work.  He asks me every time he sees me!  What, ruin my perfect life?  Nope.

Have a fabulous Tuesday y'all.  I will too!

  1. What a lovely day you had.
Just got a new pool heater. It has been off for about a month so i hope to get in tomorrow and most of November before I have to turn if off for winter. Bummer !

    cheers, parsnip

  2. Buongiorno!

I'm smiling (what, ruin my perfect life?)...you are a strong lady, you can go on with your life, if you love it!

Enjoy your work in the poo, the fun of friends and game...and your "bee bandwagon"!!!

Have a great and lucky Tuesday!!!

    Big hugs!!!

  3. I just read that gov't gobbledygook. If that's not a slap to the face. These bureaucratic clowns make me positively sick. I think of all the young widows and what this does to them. Thank God that dear Sarge had other means of keeping his girl taken care of.

  4. hahaha! Your life does sound perfect to me! i hope my retirement is half that perfect and I'll be a happy gal, for sure.

    big hugs xoxo

  5. BACK TO WORK, ha,ha,ha , lose your pool, your relaxation, playing poker & especially not going on a cruise but taking on more frustration in life. HELL NO, you ain't a dummy.
What made you what you are is your brilliance and intelligence and no one can take that away from you. Enjoy what you have. You earned all of it.
    Love you Bee.

  6. So glad your day was great, and I hope today will be also. And no, you don't have time to go back to work - you've got things to do! But enjoy the lunch anyway. Hugs!

  7. You do have a most wonderful life because you see to it that you do. You learned long ago that you are the master of your ship. No pun intended.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and a big hello to Roche. ☺

  8. I'm glad you had a nice day Bee, I hope all your days are nice. xx

  9. Glad that things are going so well, dear Bee!

  10. Dear Bee, I am currently working as hard as you did to ensure my retirement is as nice as yours. Congratulations. You earned every wonderful minute of it.

  11. That is nice that your boss asks you to come back to work every time he sees you, nice compliment. But it is even nicer that you don't have to!
