This is the golf course that is now closed and the future home of the resort.  The grass is dying now.  It'll be beautiful again one day but for now I just look over it and not at it.

So this is the last day of August.  Where in the heck did summer go?  It just flew by.  I'd like summer all year but that's not to be.  The Labor Day barbecue is Monday and I am going with my canasta gal pals to the club to celebrate.  Soon the snow birds will be back.  Time is spinning out of control.

The pool has been so warm and wonderful I cannot tell you, yesterday I did an hour and a quarter and could have done more but I was getting hungry.

Now I have a question for you and I'd like honest opinions please.  Yesterday I posted a photo with my longer curly hair.  The question is this... is it too much?  Too big?  Is shorter better?  I can't decide.  It's almost long enough to wear it up now and that was my goal for letting it grow but it's so big.  Thoughts please?

Thanks for your time y'all.  I haven't had a mandatory comment day for a long time now so today I won't make it mandatory but I'd appreciate it.  Have a great day!  I will too.

  1. I hear you about time! Whoosh, it's gone!
Hair: There is a real fun website that allows you to upload a picture of you and then "try on" different hairstyles. I had a blast with it! Since I have a bad back, using a hair dryer or flat iron for any length of time kills me, so I go for a short do.
I think your hair is wonderfully wavy, but do what is easiest and comfortable!

  2. Well, I told you yesterday my honest opinion... you look aMAZing. Your hair, too.

Hair is such a subjective thing. IMHO, a person should do what makes them happy... not necessarily what makes someone else happy. I had long hair until my early 50's. Really long. And then hot flashes got even worse and I couldn't stand it and then I cut it all off. And I just keep cutting it shorter. I went to a new stylist just before my cruise (new stylist because Pam will finish her nursing school soon and I'm about to lose her to doing Hospice care nursing full-time). At first I was in shock with how short Polly cut it. Now? I love it! I went from having 3 minute hair to 1 minute hair. LOVE!! Does it look good on me? Honestly, it's probably just OK. But I love the no muss, no fuss and I FEEL good. Nowadays, that's way more important to me.

So there's my honest opinion. It looks very nice. You look fabulous. If you love it, keep it. If you don't, change it. Make yourself happy. You deserve a lot of happy.

    big hugs xoxo

  3. I loved that picture when I saw it yesterday; you look amazing. My vote would be to keep the hair. It does not look too big, just wavy ad full.

  4. Bee,
I think your hair is perfect! You look so beautiful! You just amaze me with your weight loss, exercise, and your great attitude about life! You are a inspiration to all that read your blog!

  5. I just looked back at the picture - I don't think your hair looks too big or too long. My advice would be, leave it and try having it long enough to put up, for a couple of months. Then decide if you love being able to put it up or if it is more trouble than it is worth. Nobody will know that but you! I, personally, have gotten spoiled to short, "wash and go" hair, but every now and then I wish it was long again!

  6. Bee, I agree with Joy, wear it longer and try the up-dos and if you do not like then you can always have it cut. I think it looks great. I wear my hair up most times. I just pull it back for around the house. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. xoxo,Susie

  8. I think you look great and let me tell you, I have long hair and I love being able to put it up in a clip or ponytail sometimes. You can always cut it but it takes forever to grow. Have a great weekend.

  9. Bee I thought the picture of you yesterday was fabulous and your hair too. But you do what you feel comfortable with. IF you like it then that's all the truly matters.

  10. I think the hair is a tad too full on each side, but fine on the top. I would keep the hairstyle for 4-6 weeks to see if you like it or not. No need to rush, especially since you are uncertain.

  11. I love it Bee. To me your hair balances your entire body but what do I know, I'm a man. Yesterday I said you look beautiful and I'm not going to change my comment. You look beautiful today without even looking at you.

  12. I think your hair looks pretty either way.
If it is easy to have it up, then have it that way. And if you get tired of it, then you can always cut it again.

The golf course grass dying is very sad. You've been a very good sport about the new development that will go in. I just hope that it does not block your glorious view when it is finished!

    Hugs

  13. I thought you looked fabulous in that photograph. If you like your hair, then that's what matters. I didn't think it was too big or anything else. I just thought you looked fabulous.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

  14. Bee, what do YOU like? I think it looks great! But I also like it short. Bugger, I know I'm not any help... both ways are great. It's all in what you do. With longer hair you can play with some accessories. Shorter hair you can wash and go.

  16. I printed out that picture of you--I wanted to study it and see if I wanted to go through the whole dang process to grow mine out. I have thick hair, so mine gets "big" when it grows out. If you can handle it--keep it that way. I guess I prefer my wash and go hair style.

  17. Do you have the time to fuss with it ?
For me if you are going to put it up all the time why have it long ?
I liked it shorter but I think you looked wonderful in the photo.
So keep it longer for awhile see how you like it then if YOU want to cut it shorter.
Either way you always look lovely.
I still like the glamor photo you took on a cruise where your looking up towards the camera and your dressed in a shimmery black top. You only used it for a week or two but I thought you looked fabulous. I loved your hair in that one.

    cheers, parsnip

  18. Ah I have been growing my hair for the same reason so that I can put it up occasionally. An added bonus is that for some reason it has developed a natural curl so I have another option for a hair do - soft curls! I think you can do so much more with longer hair but it's up to you if you feel able to faff with it. I think you suit it longer. :)

  19. Summer went by so quickly and we didn't have much nice weather to appreciate it. Oh well. At least fall is pretty around here.
