I think our girl might be a bit better now, just a bit but that's progress. I was really starting to worry yesterday, she seemed puny and I was afraid of infection but she seems better now. She is still not eating hardly anything though. She's eating some fruit and a protein shake and lots of water but that's about it for a day. I am cooking foods she loves too.
I have now done four days in a row of an hour of water jogging, I am really getting strong! My arms and shoulders are sore but not too bad. Today they are calling for rain from that storm but maybe not. I hope not anyway. I sure am enjoying being in the warm water.
I really appreciate all the people concerned for my girl and am telling her about all of you, she said to thank you for all the prayers, thoughts, concerns, and love sent her way. You have been incredible.
So that's it for today in my world, hope your day is tits!
So glad your girl is doing better. Looks like Bethany may have to have her appendix out. Hugs for our girls and us too.

ReplyDeleteGlad that your daughter is feeling a bit better. Recovery from surgery takes time. It is slow going, getting your energy back and healing from such a major thing.
ReplyDeleteHow is your friend in the ICU doing?
((HUGS))
Buongiorno!!!
ReplyDeleteIt will be a more serene day for you and C.
I wish warm pool water for you, and I send positive thoughts for our girl, time seems so long for her, far away from her family, and a surgery operation let us feel weak and sad...courage and patience, I pray for you!
Big hugs
I think the effects of anesthesia linger for days. I had no appetite either after surgery, either. But that could be due to the crappy food in Geezerville!
ReplyDeleteHappy swimming!
I haven't been to the gym in weeks, between my knee, vacation, my cold, my KNEE... but I'm still doing my hand weights and I'm pretty sure all of this sweating outside painting and painting and cleaning up and organizing and painting counts as exercise/cardio... right?
ReplyDeleteIt was a really big surgery. Recovery will take time and patience. As long as she's eating something and not running a fever I wouldn't worry too much. She should see the doctor soon for a post-surgery check, yes? I know you're taking really good care of her. I'm keeping her in my prayers.
Have a perfectly fabulous day! big hugs xoxo
Prayers for healing are continuing! I know you a giving her lots of TLC. Good for you on the water jogging! I am looking forward to an hour of AquaZumba tonight, it just feels so good to exercise in the warm water. Hope you and D#1 have a good weekend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteFour hours of water jogging can only do you good! Glad to hear your daughter is improving a little at a time, still sending positive and healing thoughts. x
ReplyDeleteBee, You are the trooper...still managing to exercise. Good for you. Praying for D#1...to improve daily. Have some fun today. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteThese kinds of surgeries are so painful--every move you make hurts so bad!!! Glad she has good pain pills--they can cause constipation so have her watch for that--lots of water--perhaps might need some MiraLax--my ortho doc puts his patients on one glass a day immediately after surgery. I would recover slowly, if I was at your house and had that view--no need to hurry to get better and home :-)
ReplyDeleteRecovery from surgery is never a straight-line thing -- as you know -- so it all sounds very positive. Good for you doing as much of your own regimen as you can, too.
ReplyDeleteYikes, I didn't know she wasn't eating much. You tell her to start eating what you fix for her. She needs to build her strength and she knows that all too well.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day honey. Big healing hugs coming your way. :)
Sorry you had some anxious moments yesterday, but glad she improved to ease your worries. You know with all of your blog readers sending positive thoughts your way, you are never alone.
