Well d#1 left yesterday and went home for a bit more than a week and wouldn't you know it?  Her plane had to sit on the tarmac for several hours before it took off.  Buggers, the poor thing was in such pain but she wanted to see her family and I totally understand that.

In finding out a bit more about the upcoming surgery it's about 5 1/2 hours with two neurosurgeons working together.  The rods will be titanium.  Scary for sure but it's not an option to do anything else at this point.  It has to be done.

So I went to the dermatologist yesterday for my checkup and it was fine.  He did one small removal and said I was good to go for another year.  He knows how tan I am but said I am doing everything right and to just keep doing what I already am doing.  He gave me some samples of sunblock to try for sensitive skin.

I made a trip to the fruit stand when I dropped her off at the airport and got some nice veggies and a bit of fruit.

Today I still can't get in the pool because of the place the dermatologist took off but it's supposed to rain anyway and I have lots to do inside anyway.  I want to get back in my closet and do the balance of the drawers and then get started on some shelves.

Gosh this is a boring post.  So sorry.  Just nothing happening now but I'll have some fun and I hope you do too...

  1. Gosh, I didn't think it was boring at all. Buggers to sitting on the tarmac for hours. I hate it when that happens.

Have a lovely day. It's my last full day here... and it will be full! big hugs xoxo

  2. Oh my. I have a fear of getting stuck sitting in a plane w/o air conditioning. I cannot begin to imagine how miserable she had to feel. I stood for quite awhile in the kitchen today and my back was killing me. And I have no where the problems she has!!!
There's just something about mom being there, you know? She'll be fine with your help...

  6. Bee, your blogs are never boring to me. Your picture, you look fantastic. Don't worry about your daughter's operation, well worry a little. The doctors will take of her. When my Uncle Rocco had to have an operation, he told me he was so impressed with the doctors and he lived in North Palm Beach. He had a serious operation on his heart and he's still kicking & smiling. I couldn't golf yesterday. Gerry has an other golfing day planned for me. He was so upset and worried about me. He's a good friend. MaryLou just took AmyLynn to work. That's about it for now my beautiful friend. See you.

  7. I don't think you could do a boring post if you wanted to. I have put a few inspirational pics on my fridge, mostly of me much thinner. I am adding this one. You, Miss Bee, are my inspiration. Every I'm temped, which is getting less and less, I will look at you and know I can do it too. You are beautiful.

  8. The time YOU spend in the waiting room will seem interminable--luckily, D#1, will be snoozing away and won't know how long the surgery took. Glad she is getting it done, hope you can enjoy a pain free life from now on.

  9. Well you have a medical degree so you can help those doctors you know. I'm sorry she had to sit and wait and wait and wait. I hate it when I'm feeling good. I can imagine how much more I would hate it when I was in pain.

Like Barb I didn't find this post boring. Not one bit.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)
