It rained all day yesterday until I started cooking dinner and then it stopped. I did, however, manage to get to the fruit stand and grocery store and there are lots of wonderful things to eat around here, all healthy ones too.
Our gal is doing so much better, her pain is there but under control with the pills and we managed to get her a shower and bandage change and she was up and walking a good bit. There is a rainbow on the horizon where she is concerned!
Several of you asked why she came home so fast. The surgeon explained that he gets his patients home as fast as he can and therefore has an extremely low infection rate. He feels the longer you stay in the hospital the more chance of picking up a staph infection or worse. I think he's right. So far so good!
Have a great day y'all. Mine is much easier and it'll start being fun soon...
Ah, yes.... the hospital infections... so true. So glad her pain is being managed. I know you are taking such splendid care of her!
ReplyDeleteI ate something SO unhealthy yesterday! We finished the spray priming and were both so done in I drove through Sonic for burgers and fries. And then I took a long, hot shower and fell into bed.
Guilt? No way, Jose!
Have yourselves a sunny day, some good food, a nice nap or three and a nice swim. big hugs xcxo
Glad to hear your daughter is home and getting better. xx
ReplyDeleteI'm happy she's doing much better.
ReplyDeleteYou sure are getting the rain right now. I guess it's just that time of year.
I had to laugh at Barb. Sonic burgers and fries? How about a good hamburger like In and Out's double double. Now that's a good hamburger.
Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. ☺
Sandee, I love Five Guys bacon burger, no cheese. Yum.
DeleteI'm glad that D#1 is doing better. You seem to be a great nurse for her. Say hi to her for MaryLou & I. Have a great day Bee.

Buongiorno!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that your home is more confortable and safer than a Hospital...I think that it's true!!!
Good food, love, and a lot of attentions...big hus for you two...
See you!
Her surgeon has a good point. I'm glad to know she's doing so well. I know she's getting lots of TLC. Hugs to all!
ReplyDeleteHe is right!! Plus, for every day you stay in hospital, it takes 4 days to regain your strength--so either stay out of hospital, or get home as soon as you can, LOL.
ReplyDeleteThe surgeon probably is right -- but, whoa, what an indictment that is of the modern hospital! Still, I'm glad she's being well-tended and recovering.
ReplyDeleteBee, I am glad things are looking up. Your dr. was very smart about the infection advise. Thinking of all of you.xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteHi AB
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of you and Cat.
Love to you both

Hospital-borne infections scar me. Wise move for that doc. I'm glad to hear her pain is being managed. And I know the doc realized that she's getting primo care from her family. That also helps ten-fold.
ReplyDeletescare me... not scar me.
DeleteGlad things are progressing. Hope she can look back on this and remember only the great care and wonderful time spent with you. Not the pain or struggles.
