Here is Roche' drying himself and sunning a bit after yesterday's swim.  He wore a pink spandex suit with a red heart.  He especially wanted me to tell you about the suit as he is very proud of it.  I talked him out of a thong. You are welcome.

Tomorrow is Memorial Day.  Please remember the reason for the holiday.  Sarge always did.  It's a very sad day for me.  And please don't say "happy Memorial Day" if you don't mind.  It is very offensive to someone that has lost someone to protect you and your freedom.  I don't usually ask for anything but I do ask this of you.  Thank you.

The duck wouldn't take Roche' for a ride.  He said "pshhhh" and told me I am nuts.  Rats.  I was hoping they would bond.  You know they are brothers.

Have a great Sunday y'all.  I am going to the Walmart so you know how mine will be!

  1. What could be "happy" about Memorial Day anyway? I am sending a red carnation to Sarge. I also have my Red Poppy tied on my purse.

  3. "Happy" it's not. Thank you for your comment on Robby's post. Sarge was so kind to us. It meant so much to his folks, too. Bob mentioned him last time they were out here.
--- I can't believe Chuck wouldn't take Le Rouche with him. Silly boy!
    Enjoy the Walmart!

  4. So many people see Memorial Day as a 3-day weekend and a BBQ, which of course is what most people DO on that day. Hopefully, most will remember the reason this one day is set aside. This country would not exist were it not for our armed forces and so many sacrifices for our freedoms.

Roche' is FABulous! Thanks for talking him out of the thong. NObody ever looked good in a thong. Although, if anyone COULD pull it off, it might be Roche'. But I'd rather he didn't.

Have a perfectly lovely day! big hugs xoxo

So you got to go to the pool, great. Are you trying to tell us that Duck has a head like a rock?? :):) Thongs, are those things sanitary? ewweee. Have some fun today. xoxo,Susie

  8. I hope the Duck will come around and realize that Roche is a good role model for a family member - quiet, well behaved and he keeps up with the fern house ethic of being alcohol free (lol), plus he makes you happy when the Duck cannot be there.
Thank goodness that Lt. Roche isn't wearing a thong! Roche needed a promotion from just plain Roche, don't you think? Yes, he's an officer now:)

((hugs on a sad day)) I can almost 'hear' Sarge's voice in a post on his blog. He is much missed.

  9. I miss Sarge too. A hero and a patriot indeed. All of us that really knew Sarge loved him. I'm proud to say that I got to meet him (and you). I shall always have a warm place in my heart for the two of you.

Roche is doing so well with you, but I wish the Duck would accept this. I'm guessing in time he will.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from sunny, but chilly California.

  10. Have you adopted Roche'? or is he just a foster child? Perhaps if the Duck realizes that Roche' is his adopted brother and will be a family member for the rest of his life--he may come around, but then....you know...every family has issues!!
