Friendship... and other stuff

Yesterday I was sitting there waiting for my delivery and I got a call from a dear friend that started the call by saying "I just wanted to thank you for your friendship".  I don't think anyone ever said this to me before and I cannot tell you how lovely it felt.  I mean I have had people say I was a good friend, things like that, but never the "thank you" before.  If you have a dear friend you might do this for them and make their day as well.

So here's a good one for you.  We have a door person (well several) that is not the brightest bulb on the string.  Here's what happened.  The maintenance man left his phone and I took it downstairs to give it back to him.  He had already left.  The door person said "that's okay, I'll call him".  Which she did.  And left a message on his voicemail.  Twice.   You can't make this stuff up.

Well the three day weekend is upon us.  This one is so much more than the barbecue though, Memorial Day is to reflect upon and remember our heros that gave their lives that you may have your freedom.  After that then it's okay to grill!  Happy summer y'all...

  1. Bee, you can make that stuff up... hahahahahahaha
    Happy Summer to you too.

    cheers, parsnip

  2. LOL that's a good one, did she realise her mistake or is she still oblivious? :)

  3. I thank you for your friendship! You totally rock!

You can't fix stupid. But luckily, we can be amused by it occasionally.

Have yourself a lovely day! big hugs xoxo

  4. What a nice thing for your friend to do! I am so blessed with good friends and I need to remember to tell them so. Starting here - thank you for your friendship, Empress Bee! I am so glad I got to know you and can keep up with you through your blog. LOVE the phone story. People just don't think sometimes. 😃 Have a wonderful weekend. Our weather is just about perfect here, I'm loving it.

  5. Bee, Bless you heart. When you said happy summer...I have always felt like memorial weekend started summer...I guess it goes back to school days. I am ever so thankful for our serve men and women. I hope you enjoy your weekend. xoxo,Susie

  6. There is not much more than I can say about my friendship with you Bee than I can say I love you. Meeting & knowing you has changed my life a great deal. It's to bad that I can't see you every day and just saying good morning. Our friendship is more because you have taught me things and when I needed a voice you were there. You are more than a friend. I guess I'd better go before I start crying. Have a beautiful day.

  7. I thank you for your friendship, Bee. You have enriched my life immensely. Srsly.

Have yourself a great holiday weekend. Big hugs, honey...

  8. That person doesn't even have a bulb. Reminds me of a sergeant that had a phone number but didn't know who the number belonged too. He ask me (a lieutenant) how he was going to find out who it belonged to. I said try calling the number. Hello. No bulb there either.

I'm glad someone made you feel special It's a wonderful thing. Oh and thank you for being such a wonderful friend.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from Stockton Yacht Club. :)
