Oh yeah, it's in the mid to upper 80's and I'm loving every minute of it.  The water is warm and soothing and it's so easy to work out in the pool.  So easy on the joints.  I did 45 minutes and totally loved every minute of it.

Also I cooked and ate kale for the first time yesterday.  I bought a big bag at Publix and made kale chips and cooked most of it in a bit of lightly salted water.  I loved it.  Well I loved the simmered kale more than I loved the kale chips.  I know I did them right too because they are very crispy and not bitter but potato chips they are not.  Anyway I have a new healthy vegetable to eat.  I would also LOVE it in vegetable soup or bean soup.  I guess I must be the last person on earth to eat kale.

Not sure yet if I have a canasta game today or not, one of the gals is sick and if we don't find a sub, well then, I'll be back in the pool.  Either way it'll be a great day.  And hopefully a great evening at poker!

  3. I have never eaten Kale--don't really know what it is. It sounds green and leafy and kind of yucky to me, but I'm glad you life it :-)

  5. Well there you go you are not the last person to eat kale. I love that people love kale, it is a nutritional powerhouse for sure, and I love growing it! And I love growing it, it comes in quite a few colors, leaf shapes and textures. I agree with you on the kale chips, I like 'em, fun to eat, but you're right, not a potato chip!

  6. I had to look up "kale." I learn something new every day.

But cabbage? Really? Kale is just a 25-cent word for a type of cabbage? I didn't think there were any 25-cent words for something like that.

Of course, I also don't understand why yogurt has a 'sell by' date. I mean, you buy it 'pre-spoiled,' right? It's already milk that couldn't make the jump to cheese, right?

I'll never make it as a foodie....

  7. I love kale and cabbage and just about any other veggie too. I'm glad you liked it. You're right trying to pass it off as a potato chip won't work.

Have a terrific day honey and enjoy that warm weather. Big hugs from chilly but sunny California. ☺

  9. Kale is delicious! There's an awesome kale salad that uses chopped kale, lemon juice, olive oil and feta cheese. (and you use a tiny bit of olive oil for a big batch of kale.) It's delicious and will keep for a couple days in the fridge. I don't have my friend's recipe available at the moment, but I'm sure you can find a similar one online!

  10. I have never tried kale either, but I am not a veggie lover, so that is not surprising.
