It's April!

It's getting close to being out of season here and people are packing up and going north left and right now.  The summers are so nice here.  The pool is quiet and the days are long and sunny and warm (well, hot) and I love it all.

The Walmart was pretty much of a zoo yesterday but we managed to get what we needed and get out of there.  We had a nice broiled fish lunch at Red Lobster with NO biscuits!  None.  Neither of us.  We both had the rainbow trout, it is delicious!

I am off today, no work for me.  Just some mundane things like laundry.  It'll be a good day though, I'll make sure of that.  And it might get warm enough to swim, I'll be checking.

I finished watching season two of Homeland.  I still don't know if he is a terrorist or not and I truly enjoyed the series.  Every episode, all 24 of them!  If you have watched please tell my your thoughts about Brody.

So have a great Monday y'all.  Just like me.

  1. At one point, I thought I had it figured out, but since he went on into Canada I'm no longer certain! That's one heckuva a show because of all the twists and turns.
He definitely is Muslim, and he is responsible for the VP's death.
Before the next season begins I will have to watch last season all over again to remember everything, I picked up a book and started reading it, and halfway through remembered having read it before. I'm scaring myself memory-wise. Need more fish oil input!!!

  3. It is 65 right now! Our overnight low was 65. Happy Dance! I am sick of cold. I'll be complaining about miserable humidy soon enough but right now I am thrilled.

And I'm looking forward to the gym. Never in a million years would I have expected to say those words. Yay!

Have a lovely day off. I'm hoping for lots of lovely orders here. big hugs xoxo

  4. I've been away for a week so just catching up on what you've been doing. We absolutely loved all the Homeland series, fantastic. I love that recipe for the apples, I may have to try that. I so wish Spring would start here never mind summer - any sort of warmer weather would be welcome, it's just so COLD!

  5. I love homeland. I don't know what Brody is but the show kept me riveted!

As for the snowbirds leaving, I have had enough this year. The traffic down here is at an all time low. Crazy crazy crazy.

  7. Good morning! I think, just maybe, it will be a beautiful day here today. Finally. Yesterday, not so much. But we made the best of it, and I cannot wait to blog about such a great weekend.

On the contrary though, this week finds me facing a lot of uphill battles with my Gram's estate and all that yucky stuff. The evictees have not left, and yesterday was there OUT date. I see a conversation with the local PD in my future, and of course lots of guilt to digest as I enforce the eviction and pretty much make a two year old boy homeless. He's the only one I truly care about. :(

  8. Oh my goodness Bee. I had a rough week. I gained thirty lbs last week. I feel like an elephant this morning. MaryLou got angry with me this morning because of my new weight. What do I do my friend.

If you believe that I can sell you a plot of land in Florida. Oh, you all ready live in Florida.

April the 1st and realistically I feel really great and I lost 1 lb. I'm back on track. We had the grandkids sleep over last night. They are growing up quickly right in front of our eyes. MaryLou had a birthday yesterday. She's now 65 years old. What a 65 year old babe. I bought her 5 different types of clothing. Well really she went out and got them by herself but I paid for them but I made her card all by myself. Have a great day my wonderful friend who does home a plot in Florida. See you.

  10. Wal*Mart is always a zoo here and we've not been in years. Don't intend to ever go either. Awful place here. Costco is a close second, but we still go there.

Have a terrific day and I hope you get to enjoy the pool. Let all those folks head north so you have your condo back. Big hugs from rainy California. :)

  14. What a beautiful Banyan tree! I love how the branches droop to make roots.

It's a quiet day here. Wrapped up making one last journal for my niece, then heading to the post office after lunch to mail them all out. Their store opens on Saturday. I also gotta call a florist to get something out for the shop. Tomorrow I head out to sew with the ladies. I can't wait!
