Wind, we have it...

So it's Friday, my day off and now it's also February as well.  It is my least favorite month, always seems to be cold and grey.  From the time I was a little girl I didn't like February.  I'm glad it's the shortest month!  But I do not want to wish away my life so I shall not wish away the month.  February shall be bright and sunny this year and we shall lose weight and eat healthy and have some fun. And smile at nothing at all, just for the fun of it!

So what shall I get into today?  There are still a few drawers that need cleaned out but I'm not sure I'm in the mood for that.  I want to go to the fruit stand for sure.  There is also a section of my closet that could use a thinning out too.  My shoes are too big now also.  Who knew that would happen?

Ever since I got back from the cruise I've been going to bed really early and waking up at like 4:00 am and that's not good now is it?  I try to stay awake at night but it's just not happening.  Soon it'll change I suppose and I'll get back into my normal midnight to 8:00 schedule.

I think there's some sports thing on this weekend.  Of course I won't be watching it but I thought I'd let you know in case you missed the hype about it, whatever it is.  And if you like sports things.  Which I don't.  So this is sort of like a psa for you.

So that's all my brain knows.  Seems like I might have to up the fish oil a bit because I've be neigh on stupid lately...  have a great Friday, just like me!

  2. So why is midnight to 8 better than 8 to 4? Inquiring minds... Actually, I use to be an 8 to 4 person but now I'm more like a 6 to 2 am. Bugger. I adjust for vacations and special occasions, of course.

    I will try to watch a little of the Super Bowl with my Dad. TRY. If the Patriots had made it into the game I would have tried harder but they didn't so there. I'm still making chili though. And corn muffins. :)

    I like any month I get lovely orders and make a dollar and get to see good friends. I love months I get to see my family or cruise! But February isn't my favorite month, for sure.

    Have yourself a lovely, fish oily kinda day! big hugs xoxo

  3. Still trying to get over the kidney infection from hell. At least I had two IV antibiotics in urgent care and escaped the hospital. Now I'm waiting for the "run ver by a Mac truck" feeling to go away!
    I don't mind February, but like you know I'm a cold weather kind of gal.
    Looking forward to spring planting, though!
    ~~~Blessings~~~
  4. I'm not keen on February either but it will soon be March and Spring! YAY! I recently purchased some shoe racks to get my shoes out of their boxes and was S.H.O.C.K.E.D. at just how many pairs of shoes I have. :0
  5. Not my favorite month, either, but we shall smile at nothing and get through it! And I will be watching the sports thing on Sunday but it's ok with me if you don't. Just find something else fun to do!
  6. We will be at a sports party with friends and food and the occasional glimpse of the game, um, commercials and half time.
    At least the sun is shining. Smile!
    Big hugs, honey...
  8. Bee, I am not into the sports stuff either. I love watching the olypics. I used to like watching "Wide World of Sports" years ago. that's how you could tell who would be in some of the olypic games. I used to go to Florida every year for 20 years to watch the Daytone 500...but I am out of love with racing now. Never could watch that on tv. Your palm trees are swaying in the breeze(wind).. So are our pines. It was 5 degrees this morning with wind chills of 10-15 below. Thank God the sun is shining :):)xoxo,Susie
  9. February, ah Valentines. So what? I'm in a pissing mood right now. Not any reason. Yes it it but I'm going to have to smile through everything. Can you see my big SMILE? I'm still thinking about the cruise. I haven't figured out how to put my pictures in the mew Window 7. It really bothers me. Have to go now. Have to go and see Mom. See you my lovely friend.
  10. Well, I guess after 80 pounds that if there was any extra swelling on your feet or ankles, it's gone now. but wow, who woulda thought? Of course, any reason to buy new shoes can be fun. New Balance just started making dress shoes, and they are SO comfortable!
  11. We won't be watching the Super Bowl game either even though San Francisco is playing. We just aren't into sports. I'm sure we'll find something lovely to do instead.
    I'm sorry that you are not having the weather you would like. I hope it's not too bad this year.
    Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. ☺
  13. I like February but I never thought about. It is the second month and I like the number two it always seems to be a happy white, pink and red month to me, because that is what you see all over in the stores. I word for many years for card companies so.... February is a happy fun month.
    No Super Bowl for me but I hope to go on line to see some of the commercials.
    The Square Ones love the photo for February on the calendar. There is a very cute story that goes with the photo I will post it on my Monday blog. I should have written stories that go with each months photo.
    Don't get blown away....
    cheers, parsnip
  14. Lately I've been a 1am to about noon schedule, on my day off of course. My job has been doing a number on my sleeping schedule for sure.
  15. I'm with you on disliking February. I think it's just winter fatigue. It's been awful here for the past two weeks, so hopefully, Phil is right and we're going to have an early spring. Lord knows up north here, we've earned at least that!
