Wednesday stuff in paradise...

My mother used to say "there's nothing like a Florida sky" and I always thought that was so true.

They are ever changing and one is just prettier than the next.  Living up high in the sky I think I have such amazing view of them too.

Yesterday I lost seven dollars at canasta and I was losing big at poker until the end where I ended up winning - ready? - seven dollars.  Even steven day.

And the Chinese food made me sick last night.  Not yucky sick, just headachy and not feeling good.  I am not going to eat it again even though I love it.  Not worth is at all.  Wish we were not going for Mexican food today but we are and I'll try very hard not to eat much and I don't think that will be a problem really.

Have a great day y'all.  I am partied out.  For real.

  1. Nibbles. That's all, to be polite. You can eat your own good food when you get home. That's much gooder.

And you and your mother are so right about Florida skies. I miss living in Florida. A. Lot. I see it again in my future, but I won't move my parents again. Definitely want to retire there. If you'd have told me I'd be saying that back in 1975 I would've told you that you were NUTS!

Have a perfectly lovely day! It's chillier here. Brr... Big hugs xoxo

  2. I've got to agree with your mom, Florida skies can be truly lovely. It's funny how they can look so different from one state to the next but indeed they do!

Barb's spot on - just have some nibbles to be polite and that way you won't have another "bad food day". Personally I love Mexican but there are times when it can definitely throw off my system!

Have a lovely Wednesday; I'm going to see my doctor today about all of the wheezing I've been doing lately. Joy.

  3. that is how lots of people get from MSG. You have been eating so healthy for long enough that your body cant take that kinda stuff.

  4. Bee, I do love your sky pictures. I like to take pictures of skies, sun rises and sunsets. If I had a better camera, I'd take photos of the stars:):) One of your blog buddies is right...you are healthy and msg is no so good for you. Just keep eating your healthy meals, getting fresh air and exercise. I am ready for the holidays to be over. Too much rushing around. I want to relax.xoxo,Susie

  6. Beautiful skies! Monday night, while I was in Chattanooga, the skies were starting to clear and the clear parts were that beautiful dusky blue - and the clouds that remained were glowing pink from the setting sun. Of course I thought of you and "sky blue pink"!
I hope you can enjoy the Mexican food without it making you feel worse. Have a good day! Hugs!

  7. You're not used to eating Chinese food and I'm sure it's got something in it that didn't agree with you. I love it too, but i rarely have it.

I agree with you about the Florida sky. It's one of the first things I noticed when we visited. Every changing. I loved that sky.

Even steven indeed. Way to go.

Have a terrific day honey and be careful with the Mexican food. It can be even worse. Big hugs. :)

  8. Food, food and more food. Isn't interesting if we could find out another way to put substance in our body?

  9. Probably was the msg in the chinese food. Beware the mexican today because of the salt - you may be dehydrated from yesterday and still sensitive.

  12. You know how much I love taking sky/clouds photos. I have always thought Arizona especially Tucson has the best clouds, we get those huge thunder heads clouds but.... your photos today are wonderful. It might be the ocean factoring in.
    Love the first photo !

    cheers, parsnip

Sorry you had the issue with the Chinese. Probably the mix of sodium and MSG. Hugs!
