Labor day stuff in paradise...

Do you say Happy Labor Day?  I don't think so.  Anyway happy Monday to y'all.  Today I will be at the club all day.  Canasta and lunch and then the barbecue in the evening.  We are all not going home in between.

I had a three week plateau for not losing any weight and just started dropping again so I am concerned about what I eat at that barbecue.  I think I will have less than I originally planned because I don't want to mess up my losing streak.  Three weeks is a very long time to be very very good and not drop an ounce either.  I have not gone over 1200 calories and when I do the water jogging it's 570 calories that I could eat but don't.  I have watched the sodium too, it's not that.  I guess it's just normal to have these spells.

Yesterday there were lots of people at the pool including young Michael (NOT Mikey!).  Everyone was very nice and let me do my workout and we chatted a bit.  Turns out Michael goes to the same elementary school the duck attended.  A very long time ago!  Michael wanted to know if the principal was the same as the one there now.  Um, I seriously doubt it but if it is he is very old!  He doesn't quite get that my child is much older than his own parents (who are NOT married as he tells me every time).  Anyway he didn't splash me and behaved himself nicely again.  Very cute.

I guess there were so many people because of the holiday weekend.  I didn't recognize any of the others.

I found some turkey burgers in the freezer section, Jenny-O, not the 200 calorie ones (they have stuff in them I don't like) but the 160 calorie all white meat ones.  They are 1/3 pound and quite good.  I put mine on a 100 calorie whole wheat english muffin with some tomato, ketchup, and mustard.  They are individually wrapped already too.  Just telling you this in case you are coming along on my journey with me.

Guess that's about all I know today y'all.  Have a safe holiday and enjoy yourselves.

  2. Buongiorno!

I hope you can walk and do some gym anyway...sitting is not so favorable to the diet! Each hour...100 mt walk, do you? I try to do it!
I think that the young Michael is a smart young man! He learns from you a lot, ironie and intelligent behavior...compliments!

  3. I love Jenny-O! Very tasty and guilt-free, too. Hard to beat that combination!

"I don't want to mess up my losing streak." ...now there's something you wouldn't think anyone would ever say! hahaha! I was stuck for almost 2 weeks but I budged again yesterday. YAY! And while I am planning a small cookout, it will ALL be lighter fare with sensible substitutions. But still very good!

Enjoy your day at the club! big hugs xoxo

  5. Oh yeah! They have 2 kinds of Jenie-O burgers up here, too. The one with spices we don't like either. The other one we have once a week :)
    Enjoy your day out!

  7. Yeah on breaking the plateau. but do enjoy yourself. The change up in food could make your metabolism go into high gear. Michael sounds like a cute kid.

  9. I have those turkey burgers too. I eat mine on the 100 cal Thomas' wheat breakfast thins. They are great when I make them on my foreman grill! I would be very frustrated to not lose for three weeks! I am glad you didn't give up!

  10. 65???? AMAZING!
I have been on this journey since November 1st. I met a woman who lost the same weight in 7 months. I don't think I am careful enough ... but I never feel deprived. Who can explain why we can be so careful and not lose or maybe even GAIN (gasp) and why we vacation for 10 days and lose a pound? I was once told that it catches up.
If that is true ... I don't want to get on that scale tomorrow!
    I am just saying.
    Love-R

  11. I like the sound of those turkey burgers. Much better than beef. Much better. I'm so happy that you are finally losing again. I know you'll enjoy today, but you're not going to be eating like you planned. I'm so proud of you.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from warm California. :)

  12. The Principal of my Elementary School was one of my Dad's teachers...a few months ago my Dad ran into him and said he still looked the same. LOL. A few of the teachers I had had just started teaching when my Dad was in school.

  13. It's so nice to hear about a polite child these days as so many of them misbehave something awful and the parents simply stand there and allow it. After all, we don't want to curb their enthusiasm or creativity now, do we? Yeah ... right ... !

Sounds like you had a lovely Labor Day planned all the way around. I was just glad that I wasn't laboring but it's but back to work tomorrow for 16 hours so I guess that takes care of that, eh?
